Super pumped to watch Kennedy go against this field. Also excited to see Ayala, Schriever, and Henson against some tough competition. Each weight has multiple guys ranked in the top 25. Big test for the young guys.

At this point in the season, should Kemerer take a medical redshirt?
No. The NCAA has determined you cannot get a medical redshirt one year, and be on Medicare the next.
Clearly the Coaching Staff doesn't feel that way, not like he hasn't had multiple opportunities. It is what it is.

No, he needs to be healthy. Most the guys he will wrestle in the Big 10 are not at his level anyway. He can brush up on a couple of them to get ready for the couple big dogs. Got to be healthy.

This has probably been discussed and I just missed it but why are none of the starters wrestling? I understand that some guys have injuries but what about the others? I assume they feel like a lesson learned from previous seasons is that guys had too many matches and it started to show by the end of the year? Or is it maybe unique to this year’s team because most of our starters have so much experience that they just don’t need any extra matches?
Look at the January schedule and it should make sense…varsity is going to see 6 teams in three weeks ending the month w tOSU on the 21st and PSU on the 28th.
They also just wrestled a 2 day tournament last week.
I know you copied this from the release but I’m pretty sure Swafford will be in redshirt still. Unless @PinDoxRico has other news he wants to share.

Lol I don’t think so either…not really feeling that good today and was stuck on what word to use there for like 10 minutes, and maybe 2 seconds after posting it hit me that the word “craziness” prolly would have worked just fine.
