Agree. I've only been to NYC once, but found the people very friendly and helpful.I think that's nonsense.
Been to nyc at least half a dozen times. I was no more concerned about safety there than the times I've been in chicago, LA, dallas, houston or any number of other large metro areas in the US.
It is incredibly more expensive than most places for food, travel, lodging, entertainment, etc. Manhattan hotel rooms are tiny and very expensive; done that before. New Jersey was fine, but found it a pain to travel to the city and not easily get back to your lodgings for the occasional change/nap/break during the days excursions.
I'm no country music fan but I can completely understand why more people would be interested in a possible trip to nashville given the ease of drive and far lower travel costs, easier to get around the city, relatively more inexpensive rooms, less expensive food and drink.

Just don't sit downwind when your hurling there monkey......I’d rather go to Mexico and sit on the beach for a week than watch this shitshow. No thanks.
He at least acknowledges that bc isn't any more relevant than Iowa. The last time anyone outside of their immediate region cared anything about their program was the early 80s when flutie threw his miracle pass. This comment on the BC messageboard made me laugh. And he pretty much nailed his assessment.
"I love how they're giving us crap about not being an exciting opponent. Talk about the corn-filled pot calling the kettle black. Iowa is so boring I've never before this time given them the thought required to formulate any opinion about their program. I can't even think of any reason to like or dislike Iowa football other than that you happen to be from the state. Their coach has been there 100 years and I wouldn't recognize him if he sat next to me on a plane wearing an Iowa hat and jacket. They don't win anything yet they're not bad enough to provide entertainment value as a laughingstock. Iowa is the team you see playing when you flip around the channels during the commercials of the game you're actually watching and you say "nah" and flip back to the commercial. Surely BC is for any non-BC fan equally unexciting. But we have the well-known excuses for not elevating as a program: pro sports town, academic standards, Father Leahy, blah blahbity blah. What's Iowa's excuse?"

Both teams are after thoughts on the wider stage of college football.
