I think you are definitely selling Perry short. The fact he scored the most team points in 2008 shows considerable dominance. Also, both guys took several losses each season so I see it hard to point to dominance putting either guy on top of the other over the course of their entire career. They were both great and worthy of consideration as Top 10 Hawkeyes!
Illinois is always fired up vs Iowa, especially with Perry in the mix. Things were a bit chippy last year. We better be 100% ready to roll in this one. Honestly Illinois is capable of winning at 133, 141, 157, 165, 174, 184, and 285.
Although Iowa is the heavy favorite at the weight, I think the Illini can win 197 and have a far better chance there than stealing one at 184.
The exact opposite. I'm saying Illini have a better shot to win at 197 than 184. OPRF wrestlers at 197 for Illini and 184 for Hawks.Picking against an OPRF wrestler?!

Pfarr wouldn't surprise me. He just beat Hartman and has looked very good. Lee has zero shot unless Burak gets injuredSlim has a burning hatred for Burak. Heck, he'll pry pick against him vs. Pfarr too.

Sounds like BrooksInside trip and cross wrist tilt. Book it. Maybe a blast double.
Haven't you heard? Iowa's pitching a shutout, at home, against the Gophers as long as BG wrestles. Burak isn't losing to Pharr in CHA.Slim has a burning hatred for Burak. Heck, he'll pry pick against him vs. Pfarr too.

Other than the blast double those are OPRF staples.Sounds like Brooks
I know. Just cause Richards had a good match against JDJ of Ohio State last week? JDJ is overrated in my opinion and will not AA this year.Clark beat Richards 8-2 last time they met right? Surprised so many are crowning Richards. My upset special is Rhodes winning at 165.
^^^This is the absolute best case for Illinois. This is how i think it will go. Yes I'm an Iowa homer, but non of this can't happen easilyGilman maj Edelen 4-0 IA

Iowa by criterion #3 - Total match points scored only from decisions, major decisions and technical falls
So I have it going down to last match/criteria regardless of where they start. Along with the fact that anybody can get pinned to upset the apple cart I wouldn't be surprised by an Iowa blowout (8-2 in matches) or Illinois out right win (7-3 in matches) because the only locks I see are at 125/149/157.
*Upset alert*
Andre Lee uses one or a combination of blast double/cross wrist tilt/inside trip to knock off #3 Burak.
PBS is just messin with us... Illinois has about as much chance of beating Iowa as Indiana would have of beating Minnesota in wrestling.Andre Lee is a pinner it would appear. My question is when was the last time Burak was pinned or tilted for backs? Burak stays in good position and is tough to score on. Burak will take care of business.

They wrestled 3 times last year and Cory won twiceI think Clarks match is a toss up adavantage Clark. They split last season and Cory is coming off a slight injury and really has looked slightly flat on his feet offense as of late.
LaxHawk,
As much as I'd like to take all the credit I just copied it from the pbp thread further down. But thank youLaxHawk,
You are the man! Thank you!

Gilman with the TF. This beat down will be worse then what Gilman did to true freshmen Lizak of Minny last year.
Clark with the decision. Wasn't it 8-2 last time they wrestled.
Carton with the dec
Sorenson has stepped it up this year and I see the major
Sorry Cooper but TF Martinez
Rodriguez dec
Meyer dec
Brooks Major
Burak Dec could be major
Stoll dec could be more. Stoll beat him last year and Stoll is much improved this year.

From what I can gather, I think it will be free, although it sounds like there will be no visible scoreboard or announcers for the meet.Is this free or will I need to subscribe?
