Skinner's Top 5 is interesting in that none of the schools she unofficially visited--at least publicly--made her Top 5. Thus far, Iowa and UCLA are the only schools of the 5 that she's publicly visited. Some additional thoughts.
Iowa- There are pretty clear signs Iowa is still very much in the running. I still think Iowa has a big advantage in that it can sell turning the keys over to Skinner at PG as a freshman.
UCLA- They are a big theat. Skinner seems to get along well with Sienna Betts, who is already committed. Skinner would overlap for a year with Kiki Rice, though, so I'm not sure she would start right away. It's also worth watching Jazzy Davidson's recruitment, as UCLA seems to be one of the favorites. Davidson is listed as a guard/wing, but is on-ball a lot. If they both went to UCLA, Skinner wouldn't have full control of the offense like she would at Iowa.
Notre Dame- Skinner would overlap for two years with Hannah Hidalgo. If Skinner wants to run point early in her career, ND isn't the place to do it. This is anecdotal, but I check
an ND board from time to time. They had info on Clark's verbal to ND when it happened. No one there thought ND was in the running for Skinner until she announced her top 5. They thought it was between Iowa and UCLA.
Duke- Skinner would overlap for a year with their current starting PG Taina Mair. Not sure that's a huge deal, but Skinner's path to being a starting PG at Duke isn't as clear as it is at Iowa. It's interesting that Skinner took an unofficial visit to UNC but not Duke (at least not publicly). If Skinner did end up at Duke that could impact Greenway's recruitment.
TCU- They've been trendy since Mark Campbell got there and had some portal wins (Sedona Prince, Hailey Van Lith). But they were underwhelming last year, and haven't had the same success in HS recruiting yet.
