Iowa WBB 2025 Recruiting Thread

Found this post a week later that states Addie Deal almost had another triple-double.
This is an older post from Addie Deal's Instagram page confirming it was Rancho Christian and that game took place on 1/25/25. Since it's on her page this is the stat line she endorsed not the older reported line of only 13 points. Includes a few highlights as well on 2nd image.
This stat line says: 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists
"Addie let her team to a big win over Rancho Christian and put up numbers! 16pts 13reb 8ast @addie.deal"

She almost had triple-doubles on back-to-back nights of Jan 24 and Jan 25.
Her stat line from the 24th was: 16 pts, 12 reb, eight assists

The original post and 2 articles stating that stat mentions 13 points only.

I’m telling you people don’t forget Journey Houston. The last half of the season she’s turned it on more. To me it’s been very noticeable and so has her stats. To be honest with you the last six games I take her over DB

Here's Journey Houston's full interview with Matt Randazzo. Starts at 1:09:37 ... 1:18:58.
From reports on Journey, she has turned up her production lately. She was avging close to 20 points a game. Seems lately she is closer to 25 points a game. Here she states she still has more to get back yet to 100%. You go girl!

First time seeing her do an interview. She is fantastic! Definitely fits Iowa’s culture.

From what I can tell, all of our '25 recruits play on defensive oriented teams. That plays right into Jan's wheelhouse as well as the offensive potential.

"The Warriors have gotten it done in a variety of ways, most notably on defense as they are holding opponents to just 21.6 points per game. It helps to have a 6-foot-5 rim protector in Layla Hays in addition to aggressive on-ball pressure."

Her stat line: 19 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals.
#2 rated in CA.

"2. Mater Dei (26-2)"
"Team has won 15 straight, including two last week without Wynn, 56-36 to Santa Margarita and 65-44 to JSerra Catholic and on Monday, 66-40 over Orange Lutheran when Deal had 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals."

"With that said, Mater Dei is still on a ferocious 14-game winning streak, so its stock hasn't yet been affected. Addie Deal (Iowa) was recently named a McDonald's All-American."

Addie made it out of the top 50 into the top 10!
Another talking point with Addie and Kate Harpring as they both made the top 10.

Addie... Kate... You two together again?

Sorry, had to do it. It's what came to me after this CHA weekend coupled with this POY list.

At the Davenport North game as we speak. Journey Houston is en fuego. 4 3 ponters. Probably close to 20 points and not even halftime
Another 3 at halftime buzzer
Who are they playing? More updates will be appreciated. Thanks

Start of 4th 80-21. Houston with 26 Bourrge with 24 but has shot waaaaay more than anyone else. As a type another Houston 3. 29 points. 2 more. 31 points. 86-21. North coach not playing bench for some reason

I know Houston’s injury last year clouded the picture but the rankings etc had Bourrage as the clearly superior player, Is it fair t say Houston has closed that gap.

The last few weeks I would say I would take Houston. Bourrage seems to be trying to do much and Houston let's the game come to her more. Houston 3 point ers seem to be improving as well

Despite the slow start this season by Houston, she’s really picked it up this last half season and especially the last three games. Her season scoring average now looks like it’s 20.4 points a game. DV scoring average is 19.6. I don’t have the box score Yet from last night’s game so that’s all the stats I can give you give you for now.. DV does lead in rebounds, assist and steals so far. Houston leads in the EFGPCT, plus field percentage, clearly, free-throw percentage slightly, blocks even. So I’d say Houston closed the gap pretty good. Will be interesting to see how the girls do in their last four games before regionals and state. Both excellent players as we all know.
