This is a bit like the movie Groundhog Day. IF Iran does something directly at Israel, I would expect it to be pretty tepid. Israel has a minimum of 80 nukes and some think maybe even several 100 of them. If any nutbag would use them, it would be Bibi. Iran I think knows this.
He said this 1 hour before Russia invaded Ukraine.

What's realistic here? They launch a few drones so they can say they did something without officially pissing us off? Full Monty?
I think the key with these sort of predictions is repetition.

I think it’s a certainty the proxies lob drones and bottle rockets in the north. It’ll be Israel’s response that sets the tone. I don’t think Iran has the balls knowing America is watching.
He’s on the intel committee. I don’t like Rubio but I trust him on this stuff.
The problem here is that many of us are trying to apply Western thought and rational responses to a completely different culture, religious idiology, and ethnic (Shia v Sunni and a very volatile petroleum market and it just goes off rail on our perspective of what is rational. Look at our own culture right now.
So they aren't looking to stay out of conflict to make sure they don't hurt the flow of toaster strudels?

I'm not convinced Russia does pull that trigger for Iran. Likewise, if Israel gets nuked I'm not at all convinced US pulls that trigger either.

I think there is zero chance that Russia nukes Israel in response to Israel nuking Iran.
I think Israel would only nuke Iran in response to getting nuked themselves.
Supposedly no. If true that is why they have to be careful how much dickheat they send to Israel.
