Is this the beginning of some depth at center?

Don't want to get carried away, but Riley Mulvey gave Iowa some really good minutes tonight. He played also well in a couple of minutes against IU. Since he was incredibly bad earlier in the season, this is encouraging. Riley clearly has some athletic ability (can run), and tonight he looked like he belonged on the court against one of the better centers in the country.

It should be…but we’ve seen in the past younger guys contribute in a game then not see the floor for the next handful of games. So we’ll see. At least we know he is capable of providing minutes when called on

Mulvey has a freshman Chris Street frame.

Good for him last night, he helped make a difference.

One time doesn't show he is ready to be a consistent contributor, but before last night, there was very little showing he was not a wasted scholarship. He is one of our best cheer leaders, although definitely not as cute as most of the others.
