ISU AD doing ISU things again...

And here all this time I thought it was the Top 25?? Last I heard, neither team finished inside the top 25.
He moves the goal post when he gets proven wrong.. cytwins does that all the time.. Jordan bohannon won’t be a big 10 player (does pretty well as a freshman), now it’s he won’t be a 1,500 point 700 assist type player, he moves the goal post when proven wrong

Yep, despite not being 100% healthy all season, Jordan still managed to produce at a rate higher than lord god himself Monte Morris did at isu. He now has substantially more points and assists than Morris did after two years. But of course none of this counts in the eye of clown fans.

Cytwins will be back soon enough to tell us what does and doesn’t count. Good thing his goal posts are on wheels, it makes it much easier for him to continually move them.

Careful changing the topic here.....your boy has nearly as many turnovers in 2 years as Morris had in 4. Morris efficiency is so much higher at the pg position. Your boy is not a pg and the hawks suffered big time because they didn't have one.

Called it, CyTwins the great goal post mover comes through as expected. Points and assists don’t matter because clown fans say so.

Silly me here I thought basketball games were won and lost based on who scored the most points. Now according to clown fan, all that really matters is “efficiency”.

Yep we are laughing again. You will be here all week right?

Eye - we may go back and forth but sorry you lost your Mom. I lost mine too. Not fun. Makes this stuff look silly. Anyway, you thinking AL gets his named called today? Hope so, as any Iowa kid getting drafted is good for the State in my opinion.

It's all good....I think Lazard will go late 3rd maybe early 4th.

I think that there are things hawk fans think are negatives that aren't, and I think that changes how we as Cyclone fans view things.

For example, you clearly think him not hanging on to Sanderson or not having baseball is a negative. I think building a facility like they have at Penn State or building the necessary baseball facility would be a tremendous mistake.

I think you guys think the billboard or reduced ticket prices are a mistake, but I disagree, both of those got ISU fans excited or buying tickets that may not have in the past. When Pollard took over I think ISU had barely over 20K season ticket holders for football. We haven't had a ton of success but now have over 40k season ticket holders... that is a tremendous job.

You may consider it bush league or low class, but it clearly WORKS, and at ISU we have to do what works.
I could possibly take your posts more seriously if you capitalized Hawks. I know you're not capitalizing Hawks on purpose, so I just quit reading them.

1) Sure, if that is what you want to call it. His best players this year were guys he has brought in with a ton of upside. I sure as hell would take a true PG like Wigginton any day. Instead, we had a guy fill in there this year that will be a 2 guard at Drake next year. And again I'll say, even with his first year without Hoiberg guys, the guy still had a more successful season than Fran did, in year 8. I'd also take a coach that I wasn't continuously embarrassed by, but Fran's antics are a whole different conversation.

2) One year of bad basketball? Where the hell have you been since Alford?
Really...you're embarrassed by Fran's "antics"!?! If so, you need to grow a pair.

I actually thought Eye was a little optimistic but thought AL would get drafted. And his numbers at the combine and pro day were pretty good. And scouts had him at 19 for wideouts. And over 30 were drafted. Rumor is threefold. First, the Big 12 plays no defense. Second, ISU is not really considered a real program. Third, he was a total DB in team interviews. I mean, there had to be something. He had drops like most college WR's. His speed, while not blazing, was fine. He has size. Obviously, something had teams taking punters, kickers, and a kid from Australia over an all Big 12 receiver.

How many B12 wideouts were taken this year? I remember last year there were 3 wrs drafted from the B12 out of 14 total players.

He had a horrible practice at the senior bowl that must have followed him. I would think that most here thought Lazard would be drafted somewhere. Let's see how he does at camp.

He also was chased down behind by an Iowa MLB and has a history of dropping passes. Iowa takes 2 star athletes and turns them into 2nd to 4th round draft picks and isu takes a 4 star athlete and makes him an un-drafted free agent.

Testament to the coaching and development he received in Ames.

Eye - I agree thought he would be drafted. I thought maybe 5th round. It was just weird. Even after his workouts he was the 19th rated WR. And over 30 were drafted. AL isn't my favorite Clone but I like seeing Iowa kids do good. Now Lanning, I really hope he makes a squad. Great kid and player, and obviously will do whatever for a team. For his sake, I wish he would have moved to LB earlier but can't blame a kid for chasing his dream at QB. I thought he played well this year especially in his first year at LB. Quite frankly, I think he would have been really good in the Big 10. Not saying Iowa but anywhere. More running between the tackles to showcase his transformation. But wish him the best.

All players have a poor practice. I seriously doubt that was it.

It is usually something to do with personality. You have to be a really great talent for a team to take a chance on someone who would be a poor team fit or have the potential to embarrass the program or league.

I can’t really think of what it was the NFL teams saw either? Maybe they saw the Big 12 as an overrated league this year, along with the traditional poor defense? If that’s the case maybe they saw Lazard’s numbers in the Big 12 as something that would have been more pedestrian in the Big 10 or SEC? Not sure, but they saw something that told them not to waste a pick on him.

Vodka - clearly it was AL as a person. You don't get rated as the 19th best WR AFTER all the workouts and see 30 plus WR's get drafted and you don't. They saw him as a typical ISU DB. Probably spent all his interview time talking about Iowa. Seriously. That is almost impossible unless teams thought he is well an ISU person.

It was a small part of it. They don't know where Lazard fits. They aren't sure if he can get seperation as a wr, and don't know if he would agree to play TE and bulk up.

Hopefully, he got a degree to help him in life after football.

I wonder if Lazard’s dad is still glad his son went to Ames?

If this had happened to my kid, I’d be doing a lot of “wonder were my kid would have ended up if I hadn’t encouraged him to attend my alma mater , and instead steered him to a program that goes to bowl games every year and puts kids in the NFL.”

Would also suck to never have the excitement of taking your family to watch your 4-star kid play in bowl game. Hope he’s not beating himself up too much over it all.
