ISU blowing out KU in 2nd half of B12 title game

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Prohm doesnt seem to put much into beating Iowa. It is certainly more important to fans than it is to him. Fran seemed to put EVERYTHING into beating Iowa State this year (see use of Pemsl).

ISU historically gets better in March (see 4 tourney titles in last 6 years) while Iowa flounders. Why? Who knows. ISU has changed coaches, but seems to get better at the year wears on. Frans teams dont.

I will trade a loss to Iowa in December to winning the Big 12 title every year. I'm sure rational Hawk fans feel the same about winning the BTT.

Winning cures a lot of issues. All is well in Ames right now. Never saw this coming after losing 3 straight, especially vs WV.
Bump!

Not gloating, just stating a fact.

Iowa should thank their lucky stars they dont play in Big 12. No where to hide. No unbalanced schedule.

Big 14 has 2 teams capable of making a run in NCAA (Michigan and Sparty). Purdue lost all credibility losing to MN. Wisky? Nice team but not a real threat. 2 teams out of 14. I wouldn't call that a real good league.

My opinion doesn't matter, but the national basketball guys' does. They all say ISU is one of those teams able to make a run in NCAA.

What a BTN announcer says about Iowa is irrelevant. They are paid to pump up all 14 teams. I laughed last night watching the Iowa game (mostly at the score) when they said "if Iowa is shorting well they can beat anyone in the country". What a homer comment. The same could be said about UNC Wilmington.
Bump! You were right about one thing, your opinion absolutely does not matter. Also...I laughed last night - mostly at clone fans booing and crying in the stands. LOL!

Lol. Tell me KU or ISU could beat Michigan.

Sure, if Penn State can beat them, anyone can beat them.

That said, the toughness of an overall league is a cumulative measurement of the entire conference...and the RPI calculation tells the tale, the Big 12 top to bottom is the best conference.

If you doubt me, just wait and see what conference has the highest percentage of its teams make the NCAA tournament...that should end the discussion by itself.
Bump!

This needs bumped since Kansas got throttled last night. I hope Texas Tech wins today for my money bracket sake but it is possible they don’t get a single team into the Sweet 16. Baylor beating Syracuse was a good win but outside of that, it’s been drubbing after drubbing. Losing to an 11 seed and 13 seed (both of which I picked). Oklahoma could salvage a little beat by beating Virginia but that’s not likely.

On the flip side, the Big Ten has dismantled teams thus far. MSU and Minnesota playing the second round is a travesty. Wisconsin did get a bad draw by playing Oregon but I think they were a bit overrated so it evened out. (I also picked Oregon).

I hope @stender72865 doesnt hide for too long as he seems to be a decent poster that’s just biased like we all are.

Kansas lost a lot of starters.

There were few very bad Big XII teams.

The ACC has a real shot at getting 3 teams to Final Four. If they do that, that’s what will be remembered.

Remembered by whom? It’s all about which conference is better in this thread and on these boards between the Big 12 and the Big Ten.

Got back from Cabo late last night. Haven't had a chance to watch any basketball. Did follow the second half of ISU game on my phone, but wasnt able to watch game.

I think I posted in another thread, but will officially come out of hiding!

Can't speak to the O$U game because I didn't watch it. Only relying upon postgame comments on CF. Many (not all) said OSU was allowed to be physical. I hate the "officials cost us" mentality. To me, it is a losers mentality and I wont allow myself to be that type of fan. To me, you have to adjust to officials, and most importantly overcome bad calls (if there were any). More than anything it sounded like ISU couldn't handle Wesson. Defending bigs has been an issue all year.

They lost by 3. Had a slim lead late and had a shot. Disappointed of course, but not terribly. This team was too inconsistent this year. How much of that was due to their "issues" is anyone's guess. Good team but tough to watch at times. Wont be unhappy if a couple players aren't back. I like Prohm and think he does a good job. All the dipshits on CF who are organizing a posse are stupid. No, I dont want Fred back. Prohm is fine. Not perfect, but who can we get that is better? All of the coaches they have hired since Orr have been mid-major types guys, and Fred.

23-12 and catching fire in KC to win conference tourney title (especially beating KU) is a good year. We all thought they would go further, but it wasnt in the cards this year. Hope for the best next year.

Will be watching Iowa/Tennessee here in a bit. Good luck to them.

See you next year!

You. The big 12 championship was a competition for tallest midget. Nothing more.

Are you 12 years old? The Big 12 Championship Tourney Trophy will go in the trophy case. The Championship banner will hang in Hilton. Down year or not.

Again, where did I defend the B12?

LOL! Posting on an Iowa board after the clowns get beat down AGAIN in the NCAA tournament by a BIG team. You are phenomenally pathetic.
