ISU blowing out KU in 2nd half of B12 title game

Why would you list the top teams in one conference but the bottom teams in the other? Not a very good way to compare. The Big 12 teams you listed don’t rings bells as being consistent tournament success stories other than Kansas. Atleast not the same as MSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana (not as of late), OSU.

Because that is clown fan
so you dont know how long he was suspended but think they should have sat him for extra games so he missed the iowa game?

Clown fans love their thugs.

No idea, but it obviously wasn’t long enough - as it really didn’t change his behavior. Regardless, I thought it was interesting that the suspension ended just in time for the Iowa game - which you could obviously plan-out (well in advance).

You asked how long he should be suspended for. My answer is that it should be long enough to change negative behavior. It obviously wasn’t long enough, don’t you agree?

Because the premise was that the Big Ten was just laiden with history rich teams and Big 12 is not. Fact is both leagues have schools with history of success and schools without. The schools with the least amount if history reside in the Big Ten.

Alford was a stud in the conference tournament. That was his ONLY redeeming quality. He also managed to lose a first-round game as a high seed. Not as a two seed like ISU, but hey . . .

Iowa has been bad at basketball since Tom Davis was shown the door. In fairness, they we're mostly above-average most of Tom's tenure. ISU has made the NCAA nine times out of the past eighteen seasons and are 11-9 in said tournament. Better than Iowa, admittedly, but not in the same category as Kansas over that period. Translation: their prowess in the conference tourney hasn't translated to NCAA success.

KU did before they lost their best player. Also, you’ve justified Iowa handling ISU too.
Come again? KU beat MSU and later lost a big guy to injury. How does that justify Iowa beating a short handed ISU squad? What seed did Iowa get again and who & where do they play?

Just stop you are the biggest Clone homer that comes to these boards. All of your posts are full of justifications and caveats and what-ifs for both basketball and football. You are not able to be objective in any manner because as you have told us, you are supposedly friends with players on the teams.

Yep clown fans are very selective in what counts and what doesn’t. The alternative reality they live in is fascinating. But beware to anyone who disrupts their myopia as they will completely lose it. Oh and by god don’t use common sense because that isn’t playing fair with clown fans and they won’t stand for it.

Start winning something and you can see what counts. The "el foldo" routine doesn't go very far but the hawks have that move down pat.

What exactly has Iowa St won in anything that counts? Conference Tournaments? Iowa has done that too but in multiple sports not just men’s basketball. Did they do that in baseball like Iowa did 2 years ago? Nope they had to scrap their baseball program. Have they won the conference that I’m unaware of? Have they won a National Championship we are missing? Have they ever even been to a New Year’s Day Bowl or won the conference in football? I’m confused what “Start winning something and you can see what counts” means coming from an ISU fan?

Selective reality? Them some big words for you! You should stick with the pollfraud and must ignore vernacular. It fits your personality.

You finally got one right. Clown fans do ignore anything that doesn’t fit their selective reality.

Sure. Head to head meetings mean nothing. Thanks for your insight.
He is correct. The Clones would probably hammer the Hawks. Pretty simple, some teams play well at the end of the season when it really counts and others do not.
I heard the same thing in football (this past season), and that proved to be unquestionably false

As a dual fan, tilted ISU I admit, I don’t see why it’s so much fun to make shit of each other. There should be a lot of mutual respect between the two fan bases. Put this in perspective, 13 schools played in a bowl game and were selected for the NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments in basketball. The state of Iowa is home to 2 of those 13 in Iowa and Iowa State. It feels like nearly every year the state’s 2 P5 programs perform admirably, not in every sport and every year, but as a total body of work our state is not rivaled by many. Putting down others to feel better about ourselves is mental illness and both fan bases are guilty.

I still think Iowa would win. ISU does the worst when they are expected to win and the best when they are not favored. I think they are extremely egotistical and that effs them.

On the flip side, Iowa does horribly facing teams a second time. Almost every team the faced did better against them the second time. Heck Michigan and Ohio State both did over 30 points better. Bottom line is a rematch would again be a toss up between two teams that are both sold teams but have hot and cold nights.

A “young” fanbase??? LMAO

Hilton has been chocked full of crusty fat ****s for decades. You have better student engagement. That’s it. And that’s because Ames blows and iowa City is awesome.

Despite this magical alleged home court advantage you still lose to crap teams at home and have a worse mathematical home court advantage than Carver.

1 Big 12 0.584
2 ACC 0.568
3 Big Ten 0.567
4 SEC 0.566
5 Big East 0.562

The verdict of the RPI is rather clear...what's clearer is that you don't what you're talking about.
Sure, if Penn State can beat them, anyone can beat them.

That said, the toughness of an overall league is a cumulative measurement of the entire conference...and the RPI calculation tells the tale, the Big 12 top to bottom is the best conference.

If you doubt me, just wait and see what conference has the highest percentage of its teams make the NCAA tournament...that should end the discussion by itself.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Prohm doesnt seem to put much into beating Iowa. It is certainly more important to fans than it is to him. Fran seemed to put EVERYTHING into beating Iowa State this year (see use of Pemsl).

ISU historically gets better in March (see 4 tourney titles in last 6 years) while Iowa flounders. Why? Who knows. ISU has changed coaches, but seems to get better at the year wears on. Frans teams dont.

I will trade a loss to Iowa in December to winning the Big 12 title every year. I'm sure rational Hawk fans feel the same about winning the BTT.

Winning cures a lot of issues. All is well in Ames right now. Never saw this coming after losing 3 straight, especially vs WV.

How many schools won their bowl game and 1st round tourney games?

Not gloating, just stating a fact.

Iowa should thank their lucky stars they dont play in Big 12. No where to hide. No unbalanced schedule.

Big 14 has 2 teams capable of making a run in NCAA (Michigan and Sparty). Purdue lost all credibility losing to MN. Wisky? Nice team but not a real threat. 2 teams out of 14. I wouldn't call that a real good league.

My opinion doesn't matter, but the national basketball guys' does. They all say ISU is one of those teams able to make a run in NCAA.

What a BTN announcer says about Iowa is irrelevant. They are paid to pump up all 14 teams. I laughed last night watching the Iowa game (mostly at the score) when they said "if Iowa is shorting well they can beat anyone in the country". What a homer comment. The same could be said about UNC Wilmington.

Another year, another time that the Big 12 (other than possibly Kansas again) does nothing in the NCAA tournament.
