ISU going down again?

Happy The Office GIF by Cameo

Well, at least you fine folks living in the great state of Iowa won’t have to listen to anymore dumb shit about Iowa State being a playoff contender.
Unfortunately they can still make it even with a loss today…..and even get a bye.

Basically swap records with who won the cyhawk game. Probably how it's going to end this year

Colorado in good spot to potentially receive first round playoff bye after getting its shit pushed in Vs Nebraska. Big 12 blows and it’s a joke they’ll receive first round bye.

CBS showed a stat for P4 teams w/o a 10 win season….

Indiana, 9-0, up 20-15 vs Michigan
Vanderbilt
ISU…continue with the suck

The top 4 seeds are the highest ranked conference champs. Boise could very well get a bye over the Big 12 Champion, if that conference insists on cannibalizing itself. A Big 12 bye is hardly a certainty. And I could see Utah winning tonight, really throwing a wrench in things.
Boise wouldn't get in as a conference champion. That's the B1G, SEC, big12 and ACC. They would be at-large

They weren’t even a Fake ID team. At least when Cowherd called Iowa that, we had a real shot at the CFP.

What a joke of a conference, how do they deserve an auto-bid? I hope the SEC and B1G throw their weight around and fix that.
Zero way Big 12 and currently ACC should even be considered for first round bye. So dumb.

The big xii gets 1 consolation bid consistent with the quality of their league. Just like the rest of the after thought leagues. Playoff bids will be dominated by B1G and SEC, as they should.

Ok. But what about the "byes"? Is that also done by ranking or do the P4 automatically get the byes.
Great question. From NCAA.com

“How CFP teams are selected under new format

The new 12-team College Football Playoff field will include the five highest-ranked conference champions, which will receive automatic bids. The seven highest-ranked teams remaining will round out the 12-team format.

The top four teams will receive a first-round bye to the quarterfinals.”
