If Payton takes good shots he will be fine. He has taken too many bad shots in recent games where he doesn’t get his feet set. We will have to drive and hit some midrange shots at a high percentage to have a chance. They are excellent defensively. They will be up in our grill like no other team we have faced this season.
They will probably be the best defensive team we face this season, the problem is they are really good offensively too.

A big part of the game will be how the officials call it. If they call a tight game, that should benefit the Hawks.

Iowa needs to be more aggressive. Freeman needs to hit the boards like a maniac. He's talented, sure, but he generally plays soft, which is why he picks up so many ticky-tack fouls. If he did a little more bangin' on the boards and played in-your-face defense, he wouldn't get all those weak calls, IMHO.

The entire team needs to be the aggressors from the moment they set foot on the floor and never let up. Iowa is deep enough that no one needs to rest on the floor. Show a little mean streak, Hawkeyes, and send #3 ISU packin'. You have 40 minutes to beat Iowa State and a lifetime to remember it.
