If Beth hasn't made up her mind yet about the future of Fran, they're still 6 more games left on the schedule to convince her to make the right decision. I'm putting a 17% chance that they pull off one more upset. That would leave Iowa with a 15-16 overall record and 6-14 in the Big Ten.
Fan apathy has got to play into her decision and if not, 1 more year of Fran, is not going to solve anything, as it will only get worse.
I'm ready to get reenergized, she needs to make the right decision to save men's basketball....

This game is a microcosm of the entire Fran era. Start out looking like you can compete , then absolutely fail miserably at the end. If the threes aren't falling, they have nothing to fall back on.

Its time. Fran is a one dimensional coach. It a proven losing formula after 14 years.

For the last 3-4 games, it would be fun if we sent three down to play offense and sandbagged two on the defensive end. Everyone just stays put on their end and then we rotate every dead ball. Why are we pretending to play defense at this point--just make it obvious and save the legs from running end to end?

The buyout shouldn't be an obstacle. $4.2 million on April 1st, payable over 3 years. Increased ticket sales alone should cover that.

Sort of like girls’ 6-on-6 basketball, where three players stayed at one end to play offense and the other three stayed on the other end to play defense. Love it!

Problem is they cant wait until April 1st! 2 reasons; Transfer portal and Quality coaching candidates would be all gone by then most likely. Needs to happen as soon as the seasons over! Would be program suicide if they waited 2-3 weeks!

If this is true it feels like a statement you make when:

a. You have made a decision to move forward and your choice is on board, or,
b. Your choice is not on board yet

I agree - the guillotine needs to drop within 48 hours of the season finale. FM can spend his free time watching Connor leech off of Caitlin Clark.

Kind of the reverse of having Deacon take a knee every time and punt vs risk strip sack, INT, etc.
