Spent the last two of my college years getting up at 1:30 a.m. to go to work at the coralville hy-vee to make the donuts. Good times.

Used to get them and the four pack of danish there in 1992.

About 7 years past my time. I did everything there except decorate cakes. My favorites were sauerkraut rye bread and yogurt cake donuts straight out of the fryer dunked in icing. Went in at 190 and left wearing two different color shoes (2-8 a.m. shift followed by class will do that to you) weighing 240. That and the Bagel Buggy outside of the Fieldhouse at times helped pay the bills.
