I always thought borschel would have been an awesome addition to the Hawkeyes staff. Imho one the the top NCAA top guys- all time. If ref hadn't blown the whistle he'd still be racking up time on lewnes.

Jay Borshell start his own wrestling club in Iowa some place.
Seems I read this some where last year.
it's not, his family was/is growing and didn't have the amount of time to put into it to do it right (in his mind) so he closed up...The Wrestling Lab
Not sure if it's still going on.
Jay is living the life of a corporate man. Really wish he had stayed/will come back to the sport. He's absolutely refreshing as far as his wrestling philosophy goes.
Believe me — that’s the plan! It’s in the works.Well.... lets raise some more money!

Last undefeated National Champ for Hawks? It’s Jay Borschel not Borshell.

Yep. The comeback was in the finals against the kid from Virginia, IIRC. The finals was a total dismantling of previously undefeated Mack Lewnes, who hadn’t given up a takedown all season until he ran into Jay.
That's what you get when you hastily post on your phone. Didn't make much sense, now, did it?! Thanks for setting the record straight -- I even missed it the first time I re-read it!Proofreading is such an unnecessary waste of time...........
Thought that was the semis
Borschel vs. Heinrich
I remember the finals when they said on the loud speaker "Lewnes has not given up a takedown this season...that is the first takedown Lewnes has given up this season" (roughly 6 seconds later)
