Joe T starting it appears....

Also noticed Luka will be wearing a mouth guard. Smart choice imo.

That is a good starting lineup. We have very good shooters. Great ball handlers. The movement and spacing should be just what we need without JBo. Defense should be more than capable as well.

Kriener & Evelyn as the main backups. Pemsl too, once he gets his head back in the game. Hope that happens before the non-con ends and the B1G is in full swing! Sprinkle in some Till for a few minutes.

If we can stay injury free for the most part, the rest of the season, this team will win some games! And be fun to watch.

CJ Fredrick being healthy is vital to the success of this team, any updates on his Quad injury?
He played well against ISU, so I'm going to assume he's good going forward, especially with the week-plus layoff. With another week in between games after Saturday, there's plenty of time to heal before the B1G slate starts again.

Pemsl could be important off the bench, especially considering the lack of depth with this team. He certainly has limitations, but I’m mostly concerned with the health of his back. Hopefully, the time off and holiday rest is valuable for both he and Fredrick getting ready for the bulk of the B1G season.

Yep, looks like Joe T was the "TBD" in what you see below.

What do we know about Cincy's starting 5 and bench?

Rebounding has not been a strength so far this year, our guys really need to block out and go to the glass stronger!

Joe T. is not a shooter, he is a scorer. Him hitting 3’s would frosting on the cake.
And for a scorer to make an open three once in a while, it opens things up. So far Joe T has shown little reluctance to shoot the open three. This needs to continue, and, hopefully, he starts knocking a few in here and there. This will not just open up his ability to break down and collapse the D, it will also relax and temper him from feeling like he has to force things—meaning, hopefully, lower turnover rate.

What is the latest on whether Patrick will play this year? With the other injuries, we could really use another player, especially one with some offensive skills off the bench.

Am I the only one wondering whether Till might be a better option off the bench than Pemsl, at least against teams that don't have a beast at the 4?

I'd say that's been the only real weakness to Fredrick's game thus far
Fredrick has been darn near perfect. Love that kid's game.

Now Joe T, love his game but he has been too fast for what he needs at times. Once he learns to play with pace, he'll be a killer.

I think we're looking at a four year backcourt. Those two boys will be our best backcourt since BJ and Roy in 89.

I'm probably failing one of my axioms by getting too enthused too early but those two have winning attitudes, already play pretty good defense, both talk about wanting to be better defenders (and they're already better defenders than Isaiah or Jordan) and have shown diverse ways to score.

Other fans from around the Big Ten are going to be saying "how long have these guys been around" in a couple of years.

Need to be better than Dean Oliver and Luke Recker first. If they are better than those two it will be a fun team.

I keep trying to forget Luke Recker ever played in the beloved black and gold. The guy was a talented player but a team cancer. The quintessential Alford kind of guy.

Deano was a great one. That was a great recruiting class that fell apart fast. Ricky went to the NBA after one season, Kyle sustained one of those immobilizing back injuries and only Dean and Duez were left.

Dean and Duez were starters on the last Iowa team to win an NCAA game before FMac arrived.

duez was not in that class. He was with range, thompson, and Ramos.

If he's healthy, he can help. If he's no more healthy than what he has been so far, how much he helps will be very limited. Till can play defense and rebound.

It's unfortunate to lose the pure shooting ability of Bohannon. The one good thing in the short term is that it's forced more court time for Toussaint.
He's ready. Not that there won't be mistakes. But he's ready for a bigger role on the big stage.
