I think he was going to be behind Hall, Lee, and Watson. I liked him as a special teams guy but he looked outmatched at corner.
I thought he would be an excellent safety but has guys ahead of him there too I suppose.
Tough spot last year with the injuries and such.

Remember last summer and fall when Phil was talking him up? I wonder what happened there because he was brutal when he hit the field.
Good luck to him. But weirdly, I take it as some good news, as other guys are coming on and he probably saw that his playing time was going to be impacted.

Yeah sounds like he rubbed the locals wrong way. Tried to change some things with former legendary coach and got off to bad start by getting rid of staff.

I bet there is a correlation. His Dad took over as head coach at West Branch last year and he and his wife and younger kids have been subjected to ongoing harassment and threats all year by some idiot fans. What the heck is wrong with people like that. I don’t know a lot about West Branch but I have heard from fans of other schools that compete against them that their fans are known for this shitty type of behavior. The President of the West Branch Board of Education wrote a quest column in the local paper there about the shameful way the Nestor’s were treated and how embarrassed he is by it. Seems like some fans are out of control there.

I think it's society in general but yeah, we suck.
Understatement on looked lost out there and maybe in a few years he might have been good but I didn’t see him as a great player quite yet but more of a project
And I’ve heard the entire staff deserved to be fired for a variety of reasons. Not good.
You heard wrong, but the whole situation sucks. Further, if you’re going to fire everyone you do it in November not February. Especially when you’re interviewing for other jobs. The majority of those guys are very well respected by the community and most importantly the players.
Outside of how he behaved toward the kids, him getting rid of the guys they all had relationships with caused a LOT of discontent and ill feelings amongst the team.

Always felt he was more safety/cash than corner but playing CB out of need/lack of depth. A little like CDJ. Timing seems strange this close to the start of spring ball.
