Jok was right on his heels

If you really look at the thread, and the icons, it is clear that I'm obviously still responding to your post. With that said, I may have gone a little over-the-top with the "moron" post myself...sorry about that. However, since I see now that K OKeefe likes your post, I'm going to have to follow you closely from now on.

I will agree though, that I can definitely be a moron. Everyone is capable of it, and unfortunately most of us are guilty at certain times.
Unfortunately I'm a Fran defender, so you'll probably be disappointed. In fact, I don't have any issues with him choosing to not shake hands. However, if we remove the black-and-gold glasses and look at the situation from the perspective of the average CBB fan who didn't see anything leading up to the handshake line, it's easy to see why this would look like "just another Fran meltdown."

Fine, but I don't really care about another CBB fan. In fact, I think you might be a little disingenuous.

Cute, more name-calling. Don't expect another response.

Do you care if one of these CBB fans is an Iowa recruit? What if they see the clip of Fran storming away on SportsCenter, along with Michael Wilbon trashing him? How can that be a good thing?

I get what you are saying and agree. The cut and paste world of the internet and media outlets aren't going to spend 30 seconds explaining why Fran walked off the court. They are going to spend five seconds showing him walking off the court and the comment will be something to the effect of a quick, "There goes red faced Fran!"

That's alright though. We went through a bunch of the eye pokes stuff with Woody and Coach Fran and came out the other side with a kid from DC with a family full of ex-professional basketball players, and a kid in Indiana who has a Surgeon for a Dad. And both those kids have great reputations and could have picked some schools known for Academics.

The last main issue we had was Peter Jok on a moped. Meanwhile some figures involved on the ND side are all at least "first cousin" professionally related to a coach who protected a rapist. And by that I mean not really related, but related by having been associated.

I know exactly what you are saying, and I agree. The bad thing about walking off the court is it gives an opportunity for the publishers...the media and social media...to put a bad cover on a book people should read. And yes, repeatedly our not so quick to catch on world violates the wise old saying, "You can't tell a book by it's cover".

How is that possibly considered name-calling? You're hurt by "disingenuous"?...which was preempted by "I think you might be".

You bring up some solid points Dan. Iowa's been through a few similar situations, and we've turned out alright. Maybe "black eye" is a bit extreme of a description for what happened, but you put it well with your book analogy.

Thanks for understanding/responding to my stance instead of being dismissive simply because I agreed with somebody regarded by some as a troll.

Holy crap!, you're calling me a troll. I guarantee I've been to more Hawkeye games than you've ever seen in your life (including clips, internet video, snapchat...blah, blah, blah....) .

I was referring to KOK. Chill out man

Writing what I see as the truth does not make me a troll. Just because a group of Iowa fans do not like what a write does not make me a troll. I have better things to do than troll Iowa athletics. It is easy to write, "He is a troll because he is not saying nice things about Iowa athletics." Iowa athletics is fun to follow and be a fan of, but let us face it, it is not important enough to purposely "troll" it.

I wasn't calling you a troll, because that would make me a hypocrite with the name calling. I said "regarded by some as a troll" because some in this thread called you a troll, and others disregarded your, and subsequently my, opinions because of it

"Everyone" doesn't say Fran is classless. Overstate things much? Fran did the right thing. Period. And so did Jok. As I posted elsewhere, it would have been hypocritical PC bulldung to have shaken hands with that classless outfit from ND. Well done, Fran and Pete. Anybody with a competitive bone in their body, and a sense of fair play, understands and would have done the same damn thing. I would have.
I still would have chuckled if Horner ended up with a shiner after the game.

1. I very much do question what you think.
2. Post real facts to base your opinion...plus if you're a true journalist, then you shouldn't have an opinion
3. Prove it
4. You clearly have no idea..."fun to follow and be a fan of"...said no true Hawk Fan, EVER!!! GO HAWKS!!! That's what we say troll.
5. Also, if you're not a troll, what was the cheer during the 1990 Holiday Bowl:?

Hell, I'll even get you started..."I"..."O"..."W

...keep in mind i was there the entire game.
