Nope. Still more bad news for some of the guys on the other board. Basketball teams are upset, wrestlers disappoint, and LC is still breathing.LC you ole curmudgeon you! I thought you had caught the deads! Congrats on great seasons for your men’s and women’s basketball teams.
No, Haluska was a hell of an athlete and a shooter. Eric May was almost as good of an athlete and an average shooter.Oglesby?
Let us know when you get familiar with his D. 😂Fair enough. I'm not sure I'd go that far either. I have no idea what his D is like.
But from an athleticism standpoint I'd say he's an upgrade from the average Iowa guard recruit.

Not his first 3 years. That's just his cut-short senior year. His shooting numbers are a little concerning.
31.7% from three, and 57.7% from the line.

I like. The ballhandling skills look nice. Really smooth with both hands. Good looking shot. Seems to be able to penetrate... I thought he was 6'3" at best. But decent hops. Josh can get up... He will be a solid addition to the roster when he is healed and back closer to 100%. Hope he is healing well & quickly.
I would wager a lot of money Josh is not shorter than 6'3"I like. The ballhandling skills look nice. Really smooth with both hands. Good looking shot. Seems to be able to penetrate... You may be right, but his Rival bio says 6'5".I like. The ballhandling skills look nice. Really smooth with both hands. Good looking shot. Seems to be able to penetrate... One thing I remember about Bobby, besides his scoring is he was really tough. He did not back down from physical contact. He didn’t look to dish it out like a Brad Davison but he didn’t allow himself to get pushed around. The tapes of Dix remind me of Bobby Hansen, which is a pretty big compliment. He is definitely taller than 6-3, but probably 1-2" shorter than Hansen. I hope he brings the same attitude Hansen had when he played, because the offensive game is probably pretty comparable.
Bobby is still one of my all-time favorite Hawkeyes. We will love Josh if he can give the program what Bobby did.One thing I remember about Bobby, besides his scoring is he was really tough. This is the biggest concern, his injury was very bad. Just that type of injury can damage so many muscles and nerves around the site of the injury. Everyone is pulling for this kid but one of the great lines from Angels and Demons certainly applies. The old wise cardinal to the young uppity priest: God does answer all prayers, sometimes the answer is no.my biggest concern is that he recovers fully (both physically and mentally) from the broken leg
Brunner was 6-4.75. Heard it out of his own mouthGreg Brunner was always listed as 6-7 or 6-8.
That dude was 6-6 on a good day.
I'm shocked that you care that much about spelling errors on a sports message board.Riggers? Are you serious? I'm surprised you spelled so many words correctly in that sentence.
Did you see Kris play much during his 1st year at Iowa, and he hadn't suffered a serious injury before coming to Iowa? I still think he will be redshirted or play very little as Kris, Ahron, Tony, and Riley did their first years. Fran loves him some veterans and he has veterans at every position, plus he has Carter and Luc that has been in the system for a year and just because they are preferred walk ons, can play meaningful minutes if needed. Fran didn't redshirt Carter for the he!! of it.If Dix can get back for a full season, I'd love for him to have an impact like Sandfort.
You're right, I should assume most sports fans can't spell at a fifth grade level.I'm shocked that you care that much about spelling errors on a sports message board.
Mine too.Bobby is still one of my all-time favorite Hawkeyes. We will love Josh if he can give the program what Bobby did.
I don't believe Kris was hurt when he came in. Iowa had Garza, Nunge, Keegan Murray, Connor McC all at the 4-5 spots.Did you see Kris play much during his 1st year at Iowa, and he hadn't suffered a serious injury before coming to Iowa? In bare feet.Brunner was 6-4.75. Heard it out of his own mouth
Yet he measured 6'6 3/4" in bare feet at the NBA Draft Camp?Greg Brunner was always listed as 6-7 or 6-8.

Not doubting that but Greg loves to perpetuate the myth on his height. Thinks it's hilariousBrunner was 6-4.75. Heard it out of his own mouth
Lol, yes he did appear to be enjoying himself that eveningNot doubting that but Greg loves to perpetuate the myth on his height. Thinks it's hilarious
That someone even asked this question says more about them.Lol, yes he did appear to be enjoying himself that evening
Bru said it on his own. He was answering some guy that asked him why he wasn't in the league. His full response was, "Well when you're 6-4.75, white, and bald......" Lol, Bru definitely seemed like a funny guy. That someone even asked this question says more about them.
Do you think he might have been poking fun at those of you who always question his height, especially since he was measured 2" taller than that at the NBA Draft camp?Bru said it on his own. Appreciate your concern though

Based on those highlights, Josh Dix reminds me of Adam Haluska. He’s deceptively quick and has an aggressive drive to the hoop. He doesn’t seem quite the athlete Adam was, but the style is very similar and I imagine Josh has a chance to be pretty good depending how hard he works.
