What are all the wrong things?
Some criticisms are justified. Absolutely. But there are times when it is out of line. Last night for example. Constant complaining in the game thread. I posted about people giving up early and that the game wasn’t over. Sure enough, the Hawks battled back and pulled out a much needed win. That should be cause for celebration, not complaint. What are all the wrong things?
Winning meaningful games in the tournament?
Wanting a better home atmosphere?
Competing for a conference championship?
Without negative comments the status quo becomes the norm and mediocrity is accepted. We all have 2 choices…..being part of the problem or part of the solution. Negative comments add to the problems! If we aren’t smart enough to understand that we don’t have a chance!

The solution is getting Fran out the door. Negative comments and fans not showing to games is what will help move that alongWe all have 2 choices…..being part of the problem or part of the solution. Or you go years with no NCAA Tournament success and storm the court when you beat Nebraska at home with favorable officiating.Or the players play better and come back and win games you don’t think they are capable of
Sorry you didn’t enjoy watching the game . I did. Seriously I was disappointed in the teams play early, as I’ve seen them play much better and then they did play better, this is why the games are played otherwise just crown the blubloods of which Iowa is not cos they aren’t getting the best players money can buy. Enjoy the journey, not the destination.Or you go years with no NCAA Tournament success and storm the court when you beat Nebraska at home with favorable officiating.
Not thinking they will compete with the bluebloods, but I would like them to realistically sniff the bubble. Maybe improve and not be the same defensively in game 1 as they are in game 20.Sorry you didn’t enjoy watching the game . I did. Being disappointed and acting like an immature basketball know it all douche bag are completely different things. Many on this board fall into the latter these days.Sorry you didn’t enjoy watching the game . I did. WTH, do you think our fanbase is the only one that gets negative??? This fanbase has to be the most incredibly patient one in sports. We have 2 coaches that would have been ran off long ago from other schools. Some criticisms are justified. Absolutely. But there are times when it is out of line. Last night for example. Tearing Fran down solves nothing. Even if you want Fran gone, you should still support the team and root for them to win every time they step on the court. Save the Fran discussions for AFTER the season is over.
Tell you what. If you get @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset's National Title, you can have it!so, you are not gonna sign my RELB petition!!!!!???????

Free advice. Don’t read the comments if you’re looking for positive vibes. And if there are 100 comments, that is at most 100 people. Keep it in context.
If fans would show up, maybe it would make a difference??? Just sayinWhat are all the wrong things?

We've become like those guys to the west... you know.... the fusker football fans. Thinking we're entitled. We all have 2 choices…..being part of the problem or part of the solution. Negative comments add to the problems! If we aren’t smart enough to understand that we don’t have a chance!

Negative comments rarely change anything for the positive. Think about your own life. At work, the negative employee is usually the first to be let go. In your personal life, negative comments are horrible for relationships and definitely detrimental for children. Unfortunately, many don't understand the difference between constructive criticism and negativity. They are not the same. One can lead to a positive outcome. One has no chance of doing so. Negativity may lead to change, but more often than not, that change isn't good. The solution is getting Fran out the door. See the thread I just started on Mick Cronin.... looking forward to how his team responds.Negative comments rarely change anything for the positive. Think about your own life. No, never said our fan base is the only negative one. All teams have them.WTH, do you think our fanbase is the only one that gets negative??? This fanbase has to be the most incredibly patient one in sports. We have 2 coaches that would have been ran off long ago from other schools.
and maybe persuade or dissuade potential players to coming to the school based on whether there’s a positive or negative vibe there. Kids want to be accoladed not berated because of how they play in a gameForums are usually places that allow people to vent their feelings and/or get news about their teams. Most people on the forum have a pretty good idea of the positives and negatives of most of the coaches and their teams. The comments made in forums gets some interesting interactions exchanged but have little influence on coaching changes or how they do their jobs. The big money donors and attendance have much more influence on changing things. That and what the expectations the AD feels are important. Forums are no different that radio call-in shows...a chance to vent or jump on the bandwagon when things are going well.
Not wise for players to read message boards unless they have very thick skin. They are generally pretty negative. Find a girlfriend or call your mom if you want to hear good things!
He’s gotten past the first round more than once, but not the first weekend.Fans speak with their money
Look at the crowds at Carver, most are beyond frustrated, rooting for a team with the coach that refuses to change his philosophy and his yet to get past a first round game in the NCAA tournament
There are a lot of days that I feel like Mick Cronin. I care more than people who have more to gain and lose.See the thread I just started on Mick Cronin.... looking forward to how his team responds.
