Just saw Star Wars

How did Princess Leia look and is she still royal? How the heck does society progress to that state and still think special blood lines should be in charge of whole planets? Doesn't seem realistic. The rest is totally believable.

Did you really see it? Is it worth me rewatching the first one and finally watching the second and third? I'm a Jurassic Park guy.

Good year for movies? Has Trump made America great again before the caucus? I'm also hearing great things about the new Tarantino movie.

Was very good, need to see again

Rey is so f***ing hot and badass

Curious about Snoke, backstory

Wonder how Maz got her inventory

Also think next movie will explain how Kylo went bad

Yup...pretty blatant plot hole in the first half I will discuss later when most have seen it...but I hate being that guy.

She looks like an older Leia,.....she's still IMPORTANT, let's just say that.

Ah hell...DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT

Uhhhh...why didn't they just take the map out of the droid and let him get caught? Pretty obvious and simple solution. But I digress.
Notice how none of these future societies ever do the obvious? I mean why would there even be starship pilots? We have drones now.

Hmm, usually when I see people talk about plot holes (and then I see what it is they're actually complaining about) I tend to think "Who the f*** cares?" or even "Why is that even considered a plot hole?"......

But this, man...this plot hole?.........That might be a deal-breaker. I just may not go see it now.

If I hadn't already seen it that is....

Because in the Star Wars movies they seem to care about their droids. It's been a common theme for 7 movies now. I doubt good things wound happen to the droid if the bad guys got ahold of him and found out he was worthless.

I get that but still...take it out of him and bury it somewhere.

On the level of the first trilogy? Or just better than the second?
Not yellow, but it was definitely on the level of the first trilogy, but a bit better IMO, just because of improved special effects, great cinematography and the best acting of all the SW movies IMO. I really didn't have any issues with it, and I'll say it leaves you satisfied but at the same time drooling for the future. There is a lot of questions left unanswered, but I suspect that was done on purpose.

Good, I was hoping with Abrams' involvement it would be close to the first trilogy. Can't wait til Sunday.

It definitely pulls a lot from episodes IV-VI but in my opinion that's a good thing...same vibe, witty dialogue ect.

How badly did you destroy the concessions at the theater? I assume at the very least, they ran short on popcorn and goobers...

I thought Daisy Ridley

Better than Empire? Blasphemy. I liked it a lot, but Empire is one of the best movies ever made. Period.

By limiting it to the Clinton and Bush family lines.

It's in the mix of the 1st trilogy of ranking

If that's the plot hole WTF are you talking about

The problem is the story arc mimicked A New Hope, which if you are going to start your trilogy you need an origins so I get it

The plot hole was one piece of the map is all that was needed?? With the resources the First Order had they could/should have found or at least been close

Agree. First Order said they had the entire map, but were just missing a single piece. They knew the area to look in, just flood it with personnel. It was only a few hundred stars to check out.

Thank god they got rid of that Lucas fellow who did the last three.

Saw it on Friday - far superior to the last three. Just the dialogue alone was refreshingly better.

I would rank it right up there with Empire and Return of Jedi maybe not better but close.

It was super annoying in my theater the audience would clap anytime a main character showed up.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, just saw it. It was really good in a lot of ways but also really bad as well. Normally I can overlook a movies flaws and enjoy it for what it is. That being said, it was a lot of little things that really bugged me. For example, how ridiculously easy it was for them to get the shield for the entire planet shut down and captain Phasma just turning it off for them. I'm not sure what the point of Phasma even was in this movie, completely worthless character. Then the light saber fight scene with Kylo, the dude is trained to fight with a light saber and two people with zero light saber experience are able to not only fight him effectively but the chick actually defeats him. I know he was injured but that shouldn't off set their zero saber experience. The plot of the movie just felt extremely lazy and it felt like they just took a new hope and threw in a few wrinkles. What I did like were the characters, especially Finn. I would say it is much better than episodes 1-3, but not better than 4-7. Overall I enjoyed the movie and will watch it many more times.

Um. Finn got his ass handed to him 2 times. So not sure what you mean by him being able to go toe to toe. I think Rey was getting her ass kicked as well, until she used the force.

I have no problem with your other gripe but if you say that about this movie then you have to say it about 4 and 6 because they were able to get shields down and destroy 2 Death Stars pretty easily.

Basically I think you're reaching and reaching pretty far.
