Kaleb Johnson, is he hurt, done or what?

Pass to open up the run and use all three backs which I don’t remember seeing Jaz out there. Use screens to the middle of the field or edges to slow down the rush from those areas. Scratch where it itches was not done last night and it cost Iowa the game.
Funny enough ucla who struggled with rushing ran to open the pass and worked to perfection. We had a light box earlier with 6 thinking they’d relay on the passing game and kept getting good run after good run.

KJ needs to shut it down. Not playing for anything and has proven enough for the GMs.
He was just getting drilled last night and cannot risk his future for nothing. Let those other backs get killed.

I don’t think so. I think there are some plays that maybe Moulton could exploit, and KJ was hit to the point that a bad injury was right there waiting. Plus, passing more to get to FG range.

I think he finishes out strong with a few big performances before he bolts.

Maryland & Nebraska won’t be able to bottle him up like that.
What exactly gives you confidence that Maryland and Nebraska won’t be able to “bottle” him up?
Hope he has a great couple games but confident that they can’t defend him?

UCLA had too much speed forbJohnson s support abd didnt allowbhim to manuever.

Need to get him the ball in open space by trying some wheel routes, fake a jet sweep one direction while Kaleb slips out the backfield the other direction and if he can get open a bit throw him the ball like that one game maybe agaisnt UWash where a busted coverage led to him getting about 20 yard TD catch.
Sullivan might be the bravest/dumbest QB we've ever played. He knew that we would be really dipping into the QB barrel if he got hurt, yet he kept taking of and throwing caution to the wind when he was about to be hit. Sure enough, the inevitable, as it usually does, occurs and we are down to a scout team LB.

Other teams find a way to consistently get the ball in favorable spots for their best players. We try once or twice a game. Really makes me wonder about the new OC. Is he just another of Kirk's cookie cutter OCs that will just do his bidding and all that entails (or doesn't).

Maybe not Maryland but any team we play will load the box and make KF recruited QB beat them.
They've been doing that all season. Works for some with the right personnel, doesn't for some with the wrong personnel.

We just need to start our best QB and protect the ball. Our defense has fallen off this season.

To eloquently sum it up: Lester’s offense sucks infected gorilla asshole.

Debbie gave up 146 yards to the opposing rb1 in their last loss. That's not good.

Yep, you always have to stop the run first and at least defend for it and then drop in coverage.

I think right now and all through the season Lester knows his run game is the thing to showcase. I dont think he thinks he totally has that 200-300 yard per game passing attack yet. And we fans know that also.

But as you said and I said, get the ball out on the perimeter to Kaleb, Moulton, and Jazz and let them run and when the defense adjusts throw it over the the defense or in the open areas
