As you will see, the Murray twins' team (DME) defeated #1 ranked IMG 113-112 in OT. Keegan Murray had 36 points and 11 rebounds and Kris Murray had 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Thoughts? :)

A league made up of only players not yet in college but graduated from HS?

Maybe those folks who were so nasty and critical about Fran signing the Murray twins should rethink their position. You don't put up numbers like that against that kind of competition if you can't play. Kris and Keegan will make great Hawkeyes, just like their dad.

And....Maybe this is a door opening to recruit the DME program in the future. That would be good.

If everyone comes back for next season(please come back LG!) Then I would think one might RS. Just won't be much playing time available.

Do you really think that ONE twin will redshirt, and the other won't, and end up in different classes? Can't believe people keep bringing this up....

I'll be the first to admit that when the initial offers were made I was concerned that it was a Plan B type offer from Fran because Fran's primary targets were not going to be signing on. That being said, I'm reasonably certain that is no longer the case with the Murray boys, they've both clearly matured physically and expanded their skill sets. I think having them both here will be viewed very positively once it's all said and done.

Unfortunately, we know very little about the competition.

From watching the game tape, definitely better competition than what they saw at prairie valley on night to night basis. The numbers are obviously inflated, but both their strokes are pretty pure. That will translate at any level. The players had quicks, but the Murray twins were easily the two tallest players on the court. Still a tad skinny.

The IMG team they played was loaded with talent. One of there guards is going to Providence, and he was at best, IMGs 3rd best player in this game. Now night in and night out they might not be playing the best competition, but its definitely better than Iowa HS. The twins definitely have offensive skills that I think will translate well to the Hawks. Big time 3 point range

Yes, I do and I take it you don't. One of us will be right, one won't

Obviously, just find it hard to believe that they were insistent that they go to the same school, (which probably cost them some offers), and yet they would be split into different classes. I guess we'll see next season..

Only an idiot would not have a plan B etc.
The problem is that some people have misguided attitudes that that means a much lesser player.
The volume of players that CAN make an impact at the P5 level anymore is very large.
It all depends on coaching and their drive to succeed.

Maybe so, but with a Final score like that it appears Defense was optional in this game. They did put up some numbers though, so good for them.
