Let's try really really REALLY hard to just stick to the topic here and not let this fall into the popular chasm of personal attacks. Just wondering which wrestler you're most excited to watch next season. No need to claim them as a starter, just, who are you really looking forward to seeing on the mat?

I'll pick Stollhouse. He's a fun big guy to watch and based on all I've heard about him, the injury setbacks will fuel his fire to really make his presence known this year.

The Bull, and not worried about him living up to the hype. We've seen he can get in and finish against arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world (age group wise). His highC is silky smooth and really fun to watch. Excited to see what Young brings as well. He's going to be a pivotal component going forward IMO. Also, no surprise here, but REALLY excited to see Lee while visiting some practices this season. Never seen him live.

I don't know how the answer couldn't be Lee. He is pegged to be a multiple NCAA champ (possibly 4x). Some of these answers are mind blowing. You really are more excited to see Holloway and Kaleb Young, than a 3x world champ and the #1 P4P recruit in the country who hasn't yet stepped on the mat?

I don't know if he'll wrestle at all, but nothing is more anticipated than how this guy is going to do.

Lee if he doesn't redshirt but I think he will. Marinelli is the other choice. I think he will have a very similar year to Kem dawg last year.

I'm sure Lee will redshirt. I think the question is - will he wrestle at all. I'd like to see him wrestle a light schedule - no Midlands, a few smaller tournaments - just get his feet wet.

Most of us are gun shy after Stoll suffered season ending injuries two years in a row. I trust the coaches as what happens in practice is more likely to cause injury than what Lee will face in competition.

Practice can be customized to accommodate an injured wrestler, competition can't.

The kid is a Warrior. Good luck keeping him off the mat.

Too hard to pick just one.

I'll go with Marinelli and Young. Both have a year experience and looked very impressive. Kemerer right up there too.

I might be kidding myself, but it seems like Marinelli catching up to Hall isn't out of the question. He seemed to be able to get to Hall's legs but then would pull back, just not finishing.

Don't want to include Lee just yet. Let him fully heal and gain a little weight. RS is necessary, imho. And let's dial back the 4x ncaa champ talk. He did go 0-2 v Fix, and recently lost to DeSantos (I know, he was wrestling with a torn ACL).

Believe it or not but I want to see Jack Wagner. He's a guy I have not seen many talk about for the 125-pound spot.... I don't remember his exact ranking but I know he was in the top 20 on Intermat. I don't know if he will start but I am interested to see what he's got. I read he was a 3-time state Champion and went 17-7 last year unattached....

Re: Marinelli...only 1 of the 8 165lb AAs was a senior...it's a stacked weight. The fur's gonna fly.

Its off topic but I really enjoyed watching Sammy Brooks wrestle the past two years.

I'll throw a vote for Marinelli this season.

I want to see Lee enter one or two opens with his focus on freestyle (a lot of HWC practices). Maybe an international tourney.

I want to see Warner hit up Midlands and 3-4 opens. I want him to go to an international tourney as well.

I want to see Lugo spend a year entering opens, wrestling some freestyle, and getting better.

I'm excited for Bull & Kaleb Young to make a run at the podium (I just hope Young is big enough). I'm excited to see if Sorenson and Kem can close the gap. I'm excited to see what Ca$h can do at the right weight for him. I'm excited to see someone finally step up and take control of 141.

I think Kemdawg will be the most fun to watch although I am very curious about Young. I think Marinelli will win a lot of matches and wear people down at the end and have some dramatic victories, but I really love to watch Kemdawg scramble.

However, the real answer to the question is PD3. that is who I want to see wrestle the most. Sorry about that Chooseneutral, I could not resist.

I think the only chance of Lee not redshirting this fall is if he and his parents told TnT that he was transferring to PSU if he wasn't allowed to wrestle as a true fresh. :)

well If I recall correctly from a interview with spencer, the plan was to redshirt anyways and that was before the knee injury.

Selfishly looking forward to The Bull bc his combination of talent and character are exactly what the Hawks need but 25, 33, 41 and 97 I will be keeping a keen eye on. Sooooooooo basically 50% of the line up I'll be excited to watch to see what happens;).

I'm still sticking with my pick of Bowman at 84 and cash at 97. Saw them both recently and there's big size difference. I'm not sold on Holloway like everyone else. He a great athlete

I like the title of your thread. So many times I try to follow the tread assuming it's an update about the subject title to find it's regulars taking the tread to personal updates. Go have a cup of coffee already at the local coffee shop.

I gotta go Bull, there are a ton of guys I'm excited about and I know this has the potential to be a down year. I'm just gonna try and enjoy watching a young team come together and get better as the year wears on but I wanna see how the Bull navigates the meat grinder at 165 this year! I think he impresses and AA's this year!

While the team might not be "great" there are a lot of things I am looking forward to.

Wagner or Stickly at 125
Can Laux make the stand at 133
Who wins the spot at 141 and how either Turk or Happel progresses
If BS can do anything with Zain
Kemdawg winning a National title
The BULL and what he can do in a LOADED weight
Young and see if he is big enough for 174
Cash money being a AS
Who is the guy at 197
Stollhouse and what he is capable of

But Mostly I am excited the most about Kemdawg and when in beats Nolf in March!!

I'll go with Alex, like many others. I think he's going to make some serious noise in March despite the stacked bracket.

Also really hoping to see Brandon and/or Michael break through against Retherford/Nolf.

Reality is that we'll have only 2 "proven" guys to start the season - Sorenson and Kemerer. Stoll coming off injury, Wilcke at different weight, Marinelli and Young had nice redshirt year but that can be deceiving.
