I love the subtle irony in Brittney Griner taking a moral stance... she's one of the dirtiest players ever in women's bball...far from a saint.

Yes, taking a stance on being told to be ashamed of who you are and to hide it so that your coach and school don't look bad = playing dirty in a sport.

I guess someone who has gotten a speeding ticket can't advocate for abuse victims either or otherwise it would be too ironic.

It was only a matter of time til somebody chimed in with the bad analogies. Congratulations on not understanding the term "subtle".

I think everyone should be free to be who they are. That being said, Griner did choose to go to Baylor...she could have gone elsewhere. Any number of programs would have welcomed her.

Did you walk in on your wife getting slammed by another dude? You are one angry little fella.

FWIW, I really don’t see anything wrong with what she said either. But you don’t need to be such a dick.
compared to all the other shit that has been said and peeps is angry ? you must be talking to those posting to raptor .

Why cant some folks just stay out of things..

Ya know? Why do people feel they need to get involved in a arguement and give their 2 cents?

You sure like to butt your nose in things, especially on HR.
who the hell are you , someone special ? nothing wrong with what they posted .

No there is no subtly, there's nothing ironic about it. Your ability to not comprehend what irony actually means is the irony.

Irony would be if on the court she thought other players didn't deserve the same respect and calls as her and thought players shouldn't complain because unlike her as a star player they weren't in a position to demand equal calls.

Your "irony" is apples to airplanes, they are so far from each other they can't even begin to be compared. How she played in a basketball game had absolutely no bearing on how she should be seen or treated off the court. You basically said there is a "subtle" similarity to being played physically in basketball to being told you're embarrassing for being gay. Good attempt at being witty but ultimately like a 2/10.

Whole lotta misrepresentation above. Big surprise. But keep twisting my words to suit yourself...have fun.

It is fun laughing at someone who doesn't know what irony is. You learn it in elementary school, so when sometime (I assume you have at least some education?) doesn't know what it means it's pretty funny.

Either that or you do equate being gay to morally dirty in which case it's not funny it's just sad. I hope it's just that you don't understand irony.

You're absolutely right and I'm absolutely wrong. What's the point of further discussion, you're not going to consider what I say. You've made up your mind and thrown away the key.
