Iowa will not, and does not even remotely deserve a 2 seed, no matter the result of this game or the rest of the season.
If Iowa were to win out AND, win the B1G tournament, AND, beat Michigan and or Illinois in the process, then maybe a 3 seed. Then, if other good teams with decent wins were to falter in the end, maybe they could sneak into a 2 seed. But even then, more likely a 3 is the ceiling at this point.

I’m afraid you know absolutely nothing about NCAA tournament seeding works. Also it’s very easy to tell you don’t follow college hoops which is fine. Care to share how the 7-16 overall seeded teams did yesterday? So if they should have drop and have that same fate who moves up?
You are outside of reality if you think Iowa could be a 2 seed. You would have to do research, look at actual bracketologists who are accurate, etc.
Iowa will not be a 2 seed. I’m guessing a 4 or 5 most likely. If they finish 1-2 and win 0-1 games in the BTT, a 6 wouldn’t surprise me.

All this being said, I don't care what seed Iowa is in the NCAA tournament. 87 kinda ruined any seed preference for me, forever. I would have taken Iowa as 4 that year, not getting UNLV, and letting Indiana take care of UNLV, and then Iowa taking care of Indiana in the final. Or whatever. Any other path.

Do you see Iowa winning out and winning the B1G Ten tournament? Because if Iowa were to do that, the worst seed they would get is a two.
Iowa does not even remotely look like a team deserving of a 2 seed, even if they beat Ohio State today. And this is not the last chance for a signature win. The B1G tournament would have more chances for that. But as history has shown time and time again, the seed line is often set ahead of this. The official preview had Iowa on the 4 line.

Regardless of seeding they need a couple of strong wins to get there mojo back. The cumulative effect of being run by Michigan, Luka looking human, and losing Nunge for the rest of the year. brings us to a crossroads. They can fall apart here and finish poorly, OR they can rally and pick themselves up behind solid senior leadership and move forward. It all starts today at 3pm.
Look at the bracket matrix for previous years. Actual seed vs predicted. Iowa's predicted is often a full 2, or more, seed lines ahead of actual. Not including any built in bias.

We've all been Iowa fans long enough to not feel confident with how the next few weeks could play out and I can see them dropping a few more spots than the 3 line they are currently predicted. That being said it's obvious @Underscore2 understands seeding about as well as my 6 year old.
A win today probably sets the floor at a 4 seed assuming we don’t completely fall apart (I.e. lose to Neb at home)
