Agree 100%. I just can't shake the feeling that Iowa's metrics are a bit inflated based on their actual wins and losses.

Most people currently have them on the 3 line and bracket matrix has them as the top 3 seed through yesterdays game. Villanova was a 2 and just lost to a Butler team that is 9-13. So as it stands, it's not out of line to say they are currently a 2 seed. I think basically he's just bringing facts to this pissing match.
I should do that.....it would guarantee an undefeated season and national championship for the Hawks. Such a small price to pay....Meh. I've been betting against them since football season.

Last, I clearly and unambiguously said in my response the guy offered the possibility of Iowa getting a 2 seed (something that should have been intelligible to anyone with 6th grade level reading comprehension). The distinction, which again required basic reading comprehension to ascertain, is that the guy claimed the only chance Iowa had of getting a 2 seed was to win out AND have a bunch of Top 10 teams tank. And that's what I pointed out was ridiculous.

Right now how would we not be the top 3? I kind of looked around at prediction and a 3 seems the general consensus, with some disagreement, e.g. Kenpom has Iowa at 5 up to the minute. We gained ground this week since the double digit road win against tOSU will help more than the loss at Michigan-a solid Regional 1st seed.
The Villanova loss to a team with a losing record has to hurt them in every significant metric. I'm thinking Iowa placed some solidity on top 3. Hold the homecourt against a terrible Nebraska team is a must and most likely to happen. That game with Bucky is going to be tough. The Hawks did not shoot a free throw in the second half today. Cannot imagine friendly officiating in that game. But, Iowa is good enough to overcome all but the most dishonest of officiating. Win both and we're quite possibly on the two line. Win a BTT game and I think we're a solid 2.

However, you do realize that your opinion is an outlier don't you? Even ESPN had Iowa as a 3, BEFORE the road win at tOSU-and Lunardi is never kind to Iowa. CBS after the tOSU win has Iowa on the 2 line. KenPom has Iowa as the highest ranked 2. Bleacher Report has Iowa as a two. Those predictions are just the first four I found after a search, I'm sure there are more but I haven't seen any up to date predictions that has Iowa lower than a 3.
Edit, forgot BPI, which has Iowa at 5, like KenPom. The AP has Iowa at 5 and the coaches have Iowa at 8. I know they claim not to use the other polls but I'm guessing they don't completely ignore them either.

And, with Creighton also having some weirdness, Uconn could be the favorite in that conference tourney. But, even if Uconn wins it, I don't think they can climb that high.
Alabama, and West Virginia also factor in. Would be great if they lose their first games in their tournaments.

Actually I would not be surprised to see Iowa come in as a 3 seed. The committee does not base their seeds on bracketologist guess work. I would say 2, but not surprised a 3.
