Laughing stock of college football

the media has reasons to disrespect us, under estimate us and mock us.

The media has a field day with:

First it was the insane amount of money we pay a coach to be mediocre. I remember all sorts of articles comparing salaries and KF was up there with Saban. And everyone questioned why the heck is Iowa paying their coach so much money to have a 8-4 record.

Then it was the first long term contract. Then it was the recent contract extension. Everyone was like who does that. Who locks in a guy for 10 years who has only had 1 good season in 5 years.

We are the laughing stock of college football. The media is laughing their assess off that we just gave a guy 10 years in job security making millions and we lose to NDSU and NW at home.

I mean come on we have one of the top 10 paid coaches in the football.

One of the top 2 paid S&C coaches in college football.

Yeah we are okay with 7win seasons. KF and crew have their backs against the wall. The glaring issue is they couldn't even sell out a Homecoming game this year. If they only get to 7 wins this year, good luck selling out any game.

Old barta might of bitten off more than he can chew. Going to have to find the $$ somewhere.

I'll probably be told to step away from the cliff, but I think Barta has put Iowa in the biggest, perilous hole ever. I think the majority of Iowa fans have less patience with Ferentz than at any time. Ok, call it what it is .. Ferentz burnout. If this is a 7-5, 6-6 year, it might be a little more acceptable to fans if Ferentz had 3 years left after this year. Then, maybe Iowa fans could see and accept that it's time to move on to the post Ferentz era. If this season and next goes down the toilet, Kinnick will lose seats faster and more than 2014. And then what? 20,000 empty seats in Kinnick for the 8 years after? Iowa has been damned with the stupidest AD in college football and the program and it's fans might have hell to pay for his stupidity.

Barta should go!

I'm an old time Iowa fan that attended games in the 50s and stayed going through the 60s and 70s. We had 60 thousand at the home coming games when we didn't have a winning season for 17 years. I guess what I'm saying is Iowa has a much better team and coaching staff today but not fan base. Fry and Kirk have spoiled us enough that the fan base has developed a Nebraska attitude. If Iowa would be stupid enough to get rid of Kirk and take a chance on someone new we could end up making Iowa St look like a good program. If I wasn't such a diehard fan sometime I would like to see it happen to some Iowa fans.

Yes, that was back when there was nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon in Iowa. Now we got all sophisticated. We can go to the mall, look at porn on the internet, eat cheddar bay biscuits at Red Lobster. I've done all 3 when Iowa wasn't good and then came home and slept like a baby.

Oh please give this line of crap up. No one is buying this poor old Iowa mantra that we cannot get anyone better to coach with a salary of 4 million plus. I'd like to find out.

Silly Hawkeye fans do this after every loss. Your coach is nails. Everyone who isn't mourning a bad outcome to a hard fought game against a quality opponent gets it...
