Lawsuit filed against Des Moines Register for ‘misleading subscribers’ with final Iowa poll

I’m sorry that I couldn’t punch down on you unreal time. I was at an exciting Iowa basketball game. I’m a little surprised a big fan like you wasn’t there, or at least watching on TV.
How was this “non-profit”, harmed? What is their standing?
You seem angry a lot these days. Are you okay? You don’t seem okay.

Remember when conservatives were against frivolous lawsuits? That ended four years ago. Being in a cult means turning your back on everything you used to stand for.
Remember when the left was for the working class and the under represented? Now they are the party of rich leftists and major corporations and anti American subversives like Soros, turning their backs on everything you once stood for.

I think it's pretty clear from her subsequent actions that she didn't do it on purpose. Maybe the poll was flawed. Maybe people lied in the poll. Who knows?

But there were no damages - I think that is a factual statement.

So, the lesson is don't do anything that might make the King mad.

People who think she for some reason did it on purpose are being nonsensical.

IMO it's a frivolous lawsuit.

IMO, those condemning this lawsuit but supporting the business records lawsuit against Trump are hypocrites. The premise of that lawsuit is that Trump was trying to influence the election.

Seriously?
Yes. Seriously.

This is a gal who prior to last November had a long track record of putting out highly accurate polls, with those showing results closer than most to the actual election totals. Now, after all that, she’s going to throw it all away by putting out a bad poll that didn’t have any impact at all?

Feel free to show any evidence of her getting paid by the Harris campaign, democratic donors, ANYTHING, beyond conspiracy theory speculation to back up these claims.

Dumb lawsuit.

The whole premise is dumb. Even if it was a "fake news" poll, how the F does it move the needle on how people vote? It doesn't. Dumb.

Bitch move.

Only person "hurt" is the pollster Selzer and her reputation.

I don't think the premise is dumb. People thinking a given election is close or not close absolutely drives turnout. If Iowa had been breaking substantially Blue, it would stand to reason that Harris was about to win in a landslide and the election day turnout would undeniably be suppressed. And, of course, election day turnout is fully agreed to lean hard RED.

I think the lawsuit will be very interesting.

For this to become even marginally interesting they would need to sell the premise that Selzer was willing to sacrifice her career as a pollster in an attempt to influence the vote in some unknown fashion,... Extremely hard sell.

One poll on its own isn’t going to convince anyone that an election is close or not.
