Legit/real or not, WH tweet leaks are fantastic entertainment...

Yes...but if you fail to stymie all that fetal brain development, you cannot create the next generation of MAGA Republicans....

Win-Win!!!

Ammonium perchlorate is what exploded at the Pepcon plant in Henderson, NV in 1988...roughly 4500 metric tons of it. I wrote a report for an emergency response class I took. We also studied it in a Chemistry of Explosives class I took.

GOP had >2 years to recognize this guy was toxic, after the Russia tangos. Even after Helsinki, they did nothing.

And here we are; economy is a mess - and it looks like we could have long-term damage to our meat/food supply chains. For what? "Judges"?

GOP has been the epitome of non-governance, grift and power. Sure, Dems have done similar in past decades, years ago. But it seems they've cleaned many of those types out of their party (for now). I just cannot see how you can vote for any Republican in this election or any future election until they clean their shit up. They marginalized McCain and Romney - two guys who would be/are election-worthy. I don't see many others.

Been saying this for a couple of months, we didn't have to be in the situation we're in, economically or with the number of deaths. POTUS' complete mismanagement of the "response" is what caused both. Given recency bias, if he'd have nailed it, he likely would have locked up a landslide in Nov.

And if he'd have nailed it, his supporters wouldn't need to be out protesting. Unfortunately, they have no clue that his ineptness is the impetus behind everything they are protesting.

Or calling people pussies because they don't want to go work in a disease infested building.

This is absolutely true. Had he simply used the resources he has, relied on competent people to carry the day, his re-election would have been a given (despite all the other messes). Independents would have likely leaned toward Trump if he'd delivered on making the US response one of the world's best.

Yet, here we are, virtually LAST in the world in competent response (possibly only to be outdone by Russia).

All this early re-opening is playing with fire, and will almost certainly mean professional and college sports seasons will be cancelled for the coming year. Only way we resurrect those is get this fully under control and have manageable infection rates. We're still at least a month from that the response and direction has been so poor.

And, as another posted noted: KY spent $7M on a triage hospital that ended up empty - exactly the reason a federal response vs. telling all the states to "fend for themselves" would have saved LOTS of money and time for everyone.

I hope to shit they dig into the grifting and profiteering done on this in the next year or two and throw people in jail and just "lose the keys". They literally need to DESTROY the people engaged in that BS. Scorched Earth. Recover every penny from them and their families and let them suffer, because I do not give two shits about any of them.

It's also noteworthy that the people at the White House and Fox News who are saying that the pool is safe aren't actually getting back into the pool themselves.

True: they are telling their own people it isn't safe to get into the pool yet.
But telling everyone else it's just fine and you need to hold protests IN THE POOL.

That locks my vote in.
110%.

No one engaging in this mess should be spared. Anyone and everyone grifting off the USG via emoluments violations or PPE profiteering should be prosecuted and all the money recovered, with penalty.

Scorched Earth. Bankrupt them all.

Exactly. Salt the ground they walk on. The era of free-rides for Republican criminal governing needs to be over and people need to remember the consequences for pulling this shit when they are in office 100 years from now. This should not only be an example to Republicans, but all governing officials. Democrat or Republican. None of them are above the law.

Of course, it will only take one cycle for Independents to forget what happens with Republicans in charge and for Democrats to become complacent in elections again. Then, the next Republican will pardon all these people, but I guess that's a battle to be fought on another day.
