Let's be honest no one on HROT

Martin Luther King was a strong republican. Most people of faith are republican. To think Jesus would be for abortion, or other sinful democrat ideas is silly.
His kingdom is of another world so he wouldn't concern himself with politics but if he did he'd be an independent.

He would be against abortion, but that's already been settled by the Supreme Court so there's not a lot of good voting Republican would do for abortion except to defund access to women's health which I'm pretty sure he'd be against.

He personally would be against gay marriage and would advise people against it, but again, that one has been settled by the Supreme Court so voting R doesn't do you much good for that cause, either.

Pretty much everything else he would lean Democrat: providing for the elderly and needy, universal healthcare, fighting corporate greed, taking care of the environment, immigration, death penalty, etc.

Jesus was very radical and liberal, especially in his day.

I love the political arguments on this site, it seems like it has to be "all or nothing". I don't see an issue with reintroducing religion back into schools, but have classes that educate kids on multiple religions. You never know, this country might just be a better place if more folks better understood religions other than their own. Where I think it gets crazy is bringing things like the Pledge of Allegiance into these battles with the religion card simply because it includes the word God. It's the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States, you choose to live in the United States, deal with it and if you don't want to say the word God then feel free not to do so.

Not really directed at you Natural, just the specific conversation.

They already have such classes and that's perfectly fine. Students and teacher can also still pray all they want to in schools and it's perfectly fine. It's when they force others to do so that they get into trouble.

I have no clue why Martin Luther King is relevant to any discussion involving morality...already been established he had the morals of a pimp...even blacks know this.

Not BS, maybe some of the lower level players somewhat do. But if you think the major players give a flying #$$# about you, then you deserve the life they slowly try to take away from you.

These people are interested in power and control and that is about it.

Actually, it's the opposite of the truth, but you're welcome to consider the fallacy.
-It's the same for both sides actually. ACA forces people to by healthcare or pay a penalty.
-The Stimulus forced the US to pay for Wall Streets blunders. Wall Street became even bigger during the process. Good job.
-Welfare is forced help from the peoples very own paychecks to help others handle their financial issues whether justified or not.
-SS is something you pay into, regardless of how much you'll use, or if you'll ever really need it.
-Hate Crimes being added into the court system, force you into having to defend your actions based on social prejudices.
-The current NDAA signed into law by your favorite puppet Obama, forces you to pay and deal with indefinite warfare.
-The added provision into the ALREADY ESTABLISHED(nearly a century before) Civil Rights Act, make it so you HAVE to hire the
minority before the white person. Racism at it's finest right there, and not needed today.
-Democrats are actually FIGHTING to force people who don't believe in abortions to help pay for them.
-Democrats want to force more gun control, which will do what exactly? Aren't the criminals already breaking gun laws, and isn't killing against the law, how about just simply shooting someone? What is to gain here? The guns aren't the issue, the people are. The ghettos being the number one reason in all of that.

Need I go on? Does this not sound like the politics of an overly controlling and obsessive group of people?

I wouldn't be so sure. He was caught with a naked boy and had his own harem. Just look at his abs and you know he played for my team.

You always being ready to cup the balls of god is trivial to me, but I agree with this statement 100%.
Maybe that is because God has worked mightily in my life and had I depended on the supposed "good will" of man I would be living in the streets now...however as a non believer I wouldn't expect you to accept or understand that.

Is in the 1%, so why are so many here inclined to vote for those who don't look out for their best interests? If you vote strictly on social issues, you have an argument.
Doesn't it take an income of 500k + to be in the 1%? If so I'd be willing to bet there are a few members in the 1%.

Thats because the Ds took care of this for you my public employee pensioner who bites the hand that feeds him.
Oh now the D's feed us huh? I could have swore my job and my own abilities that were used to get that job was the hand that feeds me.

True, Ds are for giving people freedom of choice while Rs like to force that choice as they think they know best.
We are both pro choice, you give the choice to the big person and I give the choice to the little person.

Speak for yourself.

1%ers are the riffraff of the world. This is what the .001%ers of the world see when we look out our back windows.

And what we see when we look towards the front.

You don't seriously think we are going to vote for Bernie Sanders, do you?

You are right only one will ever have the opportunity to make a choice. There is something sad in that for me.
I find joy. The entity with a mind get their rights respected. That's how it should work IMO. If you side with the mind, this whole abortion topic becomes especially easy to decide.

I would oppose this statement except for your comment about women having a choice over what they do with their bodies including whoring, now I'm just torn.....

A mind is a terrible thing to waste and abortion does that for me, you have a different view.

A topic we will never agree on but I do appreciate the way you handle your side of the argument.

What makes D party the party of choice? They want to hand out free college, healthcare and every other thing screwing the middle class as well. The middle class is the one that pays for everything regardless of which party is in charge.

I m an independent but lean R based on a stronger military and more incentives to people that earn it. We should not have anyone milking the system and at least create jobs with tax incentives to keep them employed.

"Free college"? What a crock of shit that statement is, capital. hell,,who, doesn't"t want "free college"? I live in a suburb that is 70% Republican...and most of them with kids want "free colege"! you live in a unique world, son. Impish your beliefs were a reality. However, they are just ignorant no thought rants. How would "free college and free health care" screw the middle class?
