I want to qualify my post with I love talking wrestling, sharing food and drink with Penn State fans in Iowa City or other venues. They're are great people and great for the sport. PS - I just re-watched the Grapple On the Gridiron film that was posted on Flo, brought a tear to my eye. An event I will always remember and was so glad I attended. Proud to be a Hawk today and everyday. Go Hawks!

Normally I'd be pulling for USA, but I had a hard time mustering enthusiasm for Molinaro.
I watched B Novachkov (the guy who beat Molinaro) wrestle all through HS, as he was in my son's league. Boris was a national FS cadet champion in 2004 at 84#. The following season, he could not make the varsity team, because his older brother, Filip, was the starter at 103#.
Next year Boris won Fargo Jr FS title at 98#. He was still undersized for 103#, and did not place at state his soph year. He later grew into his weights, winning CA state in his jr and sr seasons. The kid was ALWAYS a good sport and fun to watch.
So I've been a fan of Novachkov since his HS days, and after seeing Frank show such disrespect to Iowa fans following his win over Metcalf, I didn't lose any sleep over seeing Frank lose.
After reading this thread....I am so hoping he medals so that another appreciation thread "occurs" as this was internet gold. Well done ladies and germs!

Did you attack Frank's family on this thread or another? Anyways, old Ev is not a PSU, just sometimes needs the attention.
I think old Ev was reaching on that one. I might have questioned how he was raised due to his hair cut, ball grabs, and throwing punches every match. I had long since moved on but had to remind others of what old Ev is about. I don't know what team he roots for but it isn't Iowa. That was straight out of his mouth.
