Let's thank Molinaro!

Nah, it's not the uniform. It's the guy. It's not the hard-nosed, physical wrestling. It was the attitude. From what I remember, the feeling is mutual. Frank Molinaro doesn't have much time for Iowa either. Let's just say that he seems less diplomatic than other Penn State wrestlers.
Thanks for the honest reply. Quite refreshing to hear an opinion from someone that doesn't feel threatened by a serious question. Unfortunately there aren't many around like you.

You realize you did this to yourself right? El-Jefe will show up and light his dumpster on fire if this shet show continues another day.
Yeah...I realize that. I've been reading this board long enough to know, you don't ask a question around here that an Iowa fan would be embarrassed to answer If done honestly.

You got booted from here already. Couldn't stand being rejected, so you created a new handle so you could come back here wake the bear again?

I see lots of comments I don't like on BWI just as you do here. Gotta let things go! Somethings are just better left unsaid

Johnstown is a good poster, but is on tilt here. Poker reference. I can't think of a more unimportant subject than why Champ doesn't like Frank.

We know that. I've always liked JT and don't think he should have been banned before. But it was on the Ramos thread and he kept pushing like he is now.

The anti Frank stuff has been covered ad nauseum but JT has forgot that most of us were happy that Frank got in and is going to get his shot.

OK jtown here goes nothing. Let's say I was asking the same similar questions on the psu boards about say Ramos, Evans, Perry(might be to far back for u to know) or maybe even GMan. What type of response do u think I would get. Every one of the wrestlers I have listed could have easily rubbed psu fans the wrong way. Especially Ramos or Evans. Frank has always been over the top when either wrestling Iowa or coaching against us. In about 90% of his interviews he comes off as a pompous ass. I actually like watching some of psu's wrestlers Ruth, Taylor & Nolf come to mind. Not so much for Meg, Frank & Nickal. Borderline for Rutherford. Like him till he gets away with sinking his legs in and doesn't get the stall call when somebody stands up. With that being said I still don't know if Brandon will ever beat him. Bottom line is I don't like Carl but I respect him. I didn't/don't like most of psu's wrestlers because that's what rivals do. I do however respect most of them. With that being said Frank is honestly probably the only psu I don't respect for his on & off the mat attitude/antics towards Iowa or anybody that has ever beaten him.

The Bear is awake and thinks the lad from BWI might want to accept the fact that Most Iowa fans don't like Penn State wrestlers, kinda like we don't care much for ISU wrestlers or anyone else we might wrestle against. Its sports.

Frank is good. His attitude towards his competition and opposing fans sucks. Typical wrestler attitude as far as I'm concerned. Kinda like you.

You are welcome to come here and post if you can find a way to keep it civil.

Do you have personalized plates on your truck, Mike? I'm about to go ban hammer on jtownsteel and if I catch a ban your truck will pay for it. Jk Of course, I just feel like I'm behind you or someone with plates with your name a lot.

Nope. And I'm in Texas now.

Nickal is fun to watch but he'd be on the B-list for me too.
1. He is PSU and wins
2. From my memory he's got a sort of pompous ass attitude (nowhere close to Frank though.)
3. Stupid hair cut at times (yes, I'm old but it just looks stupid to me).

And yes, I'd probably like him a ton if he wrestled for Iowa. Fact remains he's a PSU guy and I don't.

As I said, I don't mind watching him wrestle, just like I enjoy watching Nolf and some of the others...but I'll probably never "like" any of them. I'll wish them luck on Team USA but for a guy like Frank, it's even tougher to do that...lol

As soon as I figure out a Nebraska football player I like, I'll get to Penn State wrestling. It may be awhile.

Nickal seems like he just does not care all that much. Probably far from the truth just seems like he could/should have been a 4 time champ. Seems like he is disinterested at times. That's all.

I wouldn't describe him that way in the least. Now Ed Ruth I'd describe that way all day every day. Bo lost the finals because he got careless. He's better than Myles Martin. He knows it, and Myles knows it. Same as DT and Bubba Jenkins. DT wins that matchup 8 out of 10. But, they both lost because they each got careless.

Wasnt there a thread about him never beating a guy rated in the top 6 of his weight class during the NCaa Tournament. He qualified all 4 years but never had a top shelf win, not even close. He seemed to always be in a 5-8 kind of guy that was able to get some good breaks and win a title which is an outstanding and completely unexpected achievement for a grinder like Molinaro. Even his recent win over what appeared to be a more than burned out Metcalf is another one of his good breaks. Does Frank buy lottery tickets, he might want to start.

Well, since I got referenced ... no, I won't do that as a guest in somebody else's house.

I do find it funny that a PSU fan demands answers on an Iowa board why Iowa fans don't like a PSU wrestler. At some point, the dead horse has been flogged.

I think the last four months have shown that Frank created his own breaks. No lottery tickets required.

Wasn't Bo the guy who said in an interview that he was happy to win the Big 10s in Iowa because people from Iowa appreciated good wrestling and he respected Iowa and all they have done?

Granted, but Frank did wrestle better than most expected. To go from 9th seed to qualifying the weight to Rio wasn't all luck as insinuated by the previews poster.

Like stated above, I have no issues with Frank and how he got in but he did not qualify the weight...at least not in the traditional sense. There were many debates after he failed to do so. Many of us were hoping for a wildcard when we were surprised with the news of the failed drug test and the sequence of events that pulled him in. About the best thing one can say is that Frank could have cashed it in that day, frustrated, but he didn't and that is why he is where he is at. Kudos to him for doing so.

To me, the best I have ever seen him was at the World Cup. No breaks, no luck...just good hard wrestling and I hope that spills over into the Olympics. Being American and all, luck will not be with him on that day.

Yes it was. Bo is fun to watch...I have no problem with him at all.
