Level of Concern for Spencer

Spencer is still the best 125lber in the country but he may not bonus everybody he wrestles. He might lose at some point this year but I am not really worried about where he finishes in March. The rest of the team does concern me a bit. Desanto looks possessed and by far the best in the lineup right now, Eierman relies to much on his funk if he would just hit attacks I would feel a lot better, Murin had a hiccup this last weekend but I love what I saw out of him before that. Young concerns me the most as of right now but when it’s clutch time I still trust him. Bull started out slow but has looked a lot better lately. No Kem so far is my 2nd biggest concern as of now. I have to be patient he is my favorite Hawk and can’t wait to see him. Assad looked REALLY good this past week and while the it was 0-6 to Hidlay that match was closer than that. Warner is going to drive us nuts similar to what Sorensen used to do but bottom line he can beat anybody at 197. Cass is a concern also getting ridden like he did against NC State was not good for guys like Parris. He tried to get slimmer and add tone to go with Gables ability but honestly it’s doubtful that he beats Gable either way. On a side note psu has not looked they have peaked either.

If Lee is 85% or better he has no threats, it’s guys like you who do not truly understand how good Lee is. There is nobody on this earth that’s gives Lee a match if he is 100% not at 125 or at 57kg.
I would love to see Lee go up to 61kg to go after Fix after he wins 2024 gold at 57kg.

The only thing stopping Lee is maybe never getting above 75% for the rest of his wrestling career.
I know you're a homer, but does anyone else truly believe this? Does Uguev get pinned by Piccinini? Or lose to Rivera twice? Spencer is great, but he's not unbeatable. At full strength, he can probably compete with anybody, but so could Fix or Gilman. If he becomes a 4 timer, has there ever been one with < 100 wins? And that is over 5 seasons. I know excuses are for wusses, but let's be real here.

I hope you get a reel shitty taste in your mouth when you type that crap….

Of the aforementioned 4Xers how many won without ACLs? How bout Hodge winners? Excuses are for wusses, but if you overcome adversity despite major physical setbacks it’s worth mentioning. Let’s be real here…...

Actually Yes, I am including Uguev and Gilman in this statement along with the rest of the top guys worldwide.
Again , maybe you don’t really know how good a 100% Lee is.

Let’s put it this way, I personally think if Spencer did not have an injury riddled college and senior career, he would be the best P4P wrestler ever. Yes ever, including Carl,Dan,Dake,Smith,Sudulaev and the rest of the best ever.
He can be a 4 timer and still at best was 80% of his best. Name one other guy besides Angle that has done something like Lee has done thus far.

A 100% Lee is a likely multiple time senior level world champ and olympic champ. Gilman was as close as you could get to beating Uguev... And Spencer clapped those cheeks every single time.

This version of Spencer? he could lose to Suriano or Vito. They are both very much going to be hard outs for spencer. If Spencer wins Big Tens, he should be on the opposite of both Vito and Suriano. That means he'll have a tough out with glory in the semis, but I just can't see him losing that match.

Spencer as a 4xer - he's a clear #3 behind Dake on that list. I'd be willing to have the conversation depending on his run at NCAAs simply because he's doing this with no ACLs.

Greatest college career and greatest college wrestler are two different topics. Career is Cael and it isn't particularly close. Not much of a discussion there.

Carl should be considered the best as far as college career, he was also extremely fortunate to have a virtually injury free career and weight classes that were on the weaker side as far as national tournaments are concerned. Not to take anything away, just saying he was fortunate.

Concern has to be high. I’m not even a huge iowa fan, not a psu fan either lol, and I’m concerned. He should already have his fourth, iowa there second team title, and be in his way. Rooting for him like crazy but it does seem like everything is against him lol but if anyone can do it it’s him.

Iowa’s official website has the actual height of their wrestlers!!! Thank you. Damn I wish every team would do the same. Get with it wrestling.

It will be his toughest year so far, this season is going to go fast now.
I know your an east coast guy, who is your “team” ? Any relationship to a Cornell wrestler from wantagh?

I think everyone agrees with this. Dake and the four different weight classes has a descent argument tho. Spencer with his dominance. Plus neither of those guys redshirted like Cael did and he did lose his rs year. If Gable would of used his rs he would of most likely went down as the college goat and not just the college HW goat.

I kinda think both answers may change when Bo Bassett ends his career at Iowa.

No I’m in the other Virginia people seem to get confused about lol. Sometimes called Western Virginia lol. Wvu will always be my team and yes we’re terrible. Could of been a descent dual team this year but losing two top 12ish type guys, who both had multiple years of eligibility left, killed any hope of that lol.
I’m definitely more of an Iowa fan than psu lol but I do like both HC’s and wrestlers from both teams. It’ll definitely suck not getting to watch Lee and Desanto after this year. I have really enjoyed watching both of those guys.

You know I try to remain pretty positive on this site even when people like you are trying to stir the pot. If Lee wins his 4th - and I pray that he does as he certainly deserves it - he will be only the 5th man to do so. But you already knew that...and you already knew how impressive of an accomplishment it would be.

The sad reality as I see it with guys like you is that you post this kind of crap because you didn't become the man you thought you would be, so you're trying to drag others down with you. My recommendation: accept what you've become and stop feeling sorry for yourself. And don't make yourself look more pathetic by posting this ridiculous crap.
