I will tell you it’s pretty nice owning both recent and older history over a team. Now that Iowa has some recent history success over Nebraska, you now understand that part although the threads on this board prove you don’t know what to do with it.

It’s easier to just enjoy iowas recent success against Nebraska and not try to make it more than it is. Iowa is still 7-5 with two nice beat downs over two storied programs. Fly your hawk flag high and proud, but still remember who Iowa is as a program.
 
Recent history -v- over two decades ago. If you think the majority of Iowa fans approve of the original post, you are incorrect. If you think the majority of fans are highly satisfied with Iowa's season, you are also incorrect. We beat one program this season that has recent historical success. We lost to a traditional West division rival in Wisconsin. Badly. We got beat again by Northwestern. Another of Iowa's rivals, Michigan State beat us again. All those teams are bowl eligible and likely ranked.

Nebraska certainly has a storied past, but the fact is Iowa has been closer to the CFP than Nebraska, and most of us are concerned about our next game, and our next season, not our success in recent years. Certainly don't care about Nebraska history over 2 year's ago if we have already forgotten the disappointment of 2015 and what could have been.

I know you are trolling- you know where Nebraska's program has been recently. I'm not going to be classless and jump on your message board to give backhanded complements and say negative things. Nebraska is not relevant in the landscape of the big ten and most likely never will be. Where Iowa compares to Nebraska doesn't interest anyone. Your not even a thought anymore.

You're one of the last ones who still doesn't get it.

Iowa should be concerned with getting back infront of Wisconsin and MSU where we used to be. Probably wont happen with this coach.

Nebraska is back somewhere with Northwestern and Maryland in the land of nobody cares.

I appreciate the post, recent history success is often touted when that’s all you have, a lot on here have become what you all profess to hate about some Nebraska fans. How did you feel in 2012 when Iowa was 0-2 and KF was 0-4, probably not talking much about recent history back then I’m sure. Respect begets respect and because you’ve shown some I’ll show some back to you.
 
H8FULLGR8 was too chicken shit to post here for most of the season, while the Black Skirts were getting their asses beaten all over the field. He had to use alternate screen names, to troll us from time to time. That 56-14 beat down really put him over the edge, so he's back. My advice would be to simply post "56-14" as your response to everything he posts, going forward.

Was banned until mid November, so there’s that fact, but why worry about facts at this point?
 
I posted exact same thread and was promptly banned from the lil red nubby board (which I fully expected and will hold as a right of passage). I already knew I'd have to drop it here too for the masses of nubsters to read it.

And its not like they are wrong, it would be great for the conference, but it will never happen. Thats the thing. The circumstances that allowed Nebraska to be what they were ended with the big8, you were nothing in the big12, let along the b10.

You've been unaware of your surroundings since getting here, that's why you're so lost.

How did we feel? Of course we were extremely disappointed losing to a program that we should have been beating. It's not like we had good seasons during that period, but it's not as if Nebraska has been relevant since the 1990's either.

Iowa needs to concentrate on beating Michigan State and Wisconsin, and winning the other games we've become accustomed to winning. I spelled that out pretty clearly above.

We are nowhere near where we should be. Losing to Northwestern and Purdue. Every other win in the West division are games we should be winning on a regular basis. When and if that changes with respect to Nebraska, we'll address it then.
