Biden promised to provide whatever resources necessary to help deal with the fires. He cancelled his Italy trip and is staying home ready to help. Trump is spreading lies and name calling. If you can't see the difference in leadership then that is on you.

Why don't we just clear the brush?
A: There are millions upon millions of acres of brush to clear. A better answer would be not to live amongst brush & trees in dry fire prone environments. Apparently Californians are a lot like Floridians that insist on living in flood prone areas.

It’s as simple as building homes surrounded by defensible spaces. Properly defended structures can and have survived even extreme fire conditions, like what’s occurring in Los Angeles. With that said, in a timber development of many homes, the requirements needed for proper fire spacing would remove a lot of the natural landscape. And people looking to live in a natural, private location full of trees, vegetation and wildlife don’t want that.
So 0.16 inches of rain for LA since May 2024 and 80mph winds don’t play a role?
