Pretty interesting read from Seth Davis, who spoke with J.D. Collins, the new head of officiating for the NCAA. Collins worked in the Big Ten for many years.

With some of the changes to the rules and the level to which they are expected to be enforced, get ready for a lot of whistles this season, especially early on. And I'll wait and see if they stick with calling it the same way in February and March. Have heard this before that they were going to have greater enforcement of some rules and then they seem to vanish during the conference season.

Anyway, if you are a hoops fan, worth reading. Interested to get Fran's take on some of the rule changes at Media Day.
