Which was my thought previously when her transfer was announced. Never saw her fitting in there, where she will NEVER be option 1, or 1a either, as I'm sure she's been her entire career like most of these stars. LSU also seems kind of clique, ad she's the joaney come lately if you will. Its doubtful we'll ever know just what when on at LSU that first couple of months with Reese and others going awol or being suspended, unless theres a tell all book someday.

I have focused a bit on Van-Lith as she plays.
Looks to me she's a nobody at LSU as compared to Kentucky.
At a game the other day she had a turnover and was benched for half a period.
When she came back in all the other players would not pass the ball to her.
She made a mistake transferring unless she made a lot of NIL in it.

She isn’t the post that we needed, but imagine HVL at SG/SF for us like there was a small amount of talk about when her leaving Louisville was announced. Would have allowed us to bring Molly off the bench, have four +30% shooters surrounding Hannah in the starting lineup, then bring in Molly, Kylie, and Sydney off the bench as a second wave of decent shooters. The drive and kick game would have been killer. Plus it would have significantly opened up the middle of the floor even more than it already is.
Well she never played at Kentucky.
I didn't know any of this but I was DOGGING Mulkey for that call. As soon as Reese started to drive 4 Auburn players were in the lane. Why? Because LSU had players sitting on the blocks! Just doing nothing... the girl who tried to slide into the lane late let her player rip the ball.
But, again, why would you leave those two girls in to stand on the block where you know Reese is going? Why was HVL not in to at least threaten a three/drag a defender out? Very poor coaching. I was shocked.
I still think LSU gets it together but we will see what happens.
Watch Haley Van Lith on the bench as the entire play unfolds. I think she was thinking the same thing you were, and wondering how she got into this LSU mess. She’s looked miserable/unhappy in the LSU uniform all season.
Also, watching Reese trying to be Caitlin Clark in clutch time is hilarious.

In last year's National Championship game, LSU attempted 17 threes and made 11 (65%).

She was never going to play in Clarks shadow either. I mean at least on LSU Reese is not a jump shooter, so she probably got talked into having a niche there. She got sold a bill of goods though.
She sat the last 4-5 minutes I believe after either a bad shot or turnover. They put her back in for the last few seconds and she took the last meaningless shot. And missed of course. She also just seems kind of slow the few times I’ve seen her play this year.
I think what it goes to show is that Mucky may be a good recruiting coach but her in game coaching might be questionable. Then to blame the loss on going to a men's game the night b/4 is just garbage. Same thing with Staley. With all that talent and a 30+ win streak she could not make adjustments to beat Iowa in the Final Four last year. POOR in game coaching. Not insulting Bluder's bunch and not all losses are from bad Coaching. But Angel Reese had NO BUSINESS with that ball. DUH

That they were trying to iso... by having two girls for LSU stand in the lane where she drove straight into a double team because she can't shoot anywhere else?
