*****MAGA in disarray, who will be speaker of the House***** McCarthy REMOVED! Jim Jordan 0-3. Election denier Mike Johnson confirmed. Vote them out

So no proof or a link. Just your word. Yeah, we're going to take that. By your flawed logic anytime you have been with anybody over 20 times you take on their characteristics and flaws. Yeah that's common sense... or not.

Biggy says use common sense with Clinton. He doesn't believe in common sense regarding right wingers.

I'm not so sure. What I know about Republicans is they are relentless. They will spend the next two years investigating everything, distorting the findings, and using that to keep their base energized. If you can go into an election with your base energized you're halfway there.
Just do exactly what the Rs did. Ignore subpoenas and take the 5th.

I don’t like paying taxes any more than I have to, but why would Mr. John Doe GOP be against properly resourcing the IRS? If I’m paying my fair share I’d like to do so knowing others are not skating by and defrauding the rest of us.

Agree the average voter has little to fear from an audit unless they are so far outside the acceptable lanes, but most will never have to worry about an audit. Many voters have been made fearful ( like on many issues) of the scary IRS by those who would greatly benefit from not having their taxes scrutinized. If the IRS openly admits they are not properly staffed to review the most complex returns, it should be obvious who will benefit from not properly staffing the IRS

tRump don't want no more stinkin' IRS agents. They cramp his style.

Yeah, just the other day the House released the report on the Trump audit and the former IRS commissioner testified they are not equipped to review the big fish. Too complex, too understaffed and they’re just outgunned. That’s crazy.

Pretty good sales pitch to increase your agencies budget :)

When does any government agency have "enough" money? Serious question.

Seems they're always "under funded" :)

As someone who has had to routinely attempt to contact the IRS, staffing is desperately needed. But that would mean a more efficient agency which is what one party doesn’t want.

Even independent tax payer advocacy groups say the IRS is understaffed. Hence why millions of tax returns weren't processed last year until summer. The IRS needs to replace retired workers and upgrade systems.

When do they start voting on the rules package?
Sometime today, but that's going to be as interesting as the vote for speaker was. There is zero chance all republicans go along with everything McCarthy gave to Gaetz. It's apparent many Republicans hate that man which is why it was all a sham. I'm sure the rules package will initially come out with all the nonsense in it, and I'm equally as certain that McCarthy has already got several Republicans ready to vote no on it so they can then get to a real rules package, he can say he tried to honor those promises, and then move on.

Well there are two big things to me. Having a rep who sitting on a committee that oversees an investigative agency. That has an open investigation of them. Then having the ability to call a vote for Speaker with just one representative. I'm sure there other things. But those really stuck out to me.
