*****MAGA in disarray, who will be speaker of the House***** McCarthy REMOVED! Jim Jordan 0-3. Election denier Mike Johnson confirmed. Vote them out

If you think that this is going to change anyone's mind on the Republican Party, you are crazy. I'm still surprised that anyone thinks there are voters left who only support the Republican Party because they just don't understand how toxic the leadership is. A man who encouraged an insurrection, has been impeached twice, indicted 4 times, and successfully sued in civil court for all sorts of unethical and immoral behavior is still the overwhelming favorite to be their nominee. And if he wins, those who vote against him in the primary will fall in line in the general election.

Anyone who would be affected by something like this stopped voting for Republican candidates a long time ago. The sooner democrats and moderates realize that, the better. Their voters love this sh*t. They aren't turned off by it. And the Matt Gaetz extremists just got more powerful. Is that something to celebrate?
The Democrats have responsibility here in that the old people running the party absolutely refuse to run against the Republican party as it is--a dysfunctional, fascistic cult. They desperately want to normalize the Republicans and rerun some imaginary election cycle from the imaginary past.

It's completely insane at this point. Bidenomics. Prescription Drugs. Can't wait for Christina Bohannon to run those commercials going after MMM for being a rich Washington insider again (the one with an MMM avatar getting out of a luxury sports car).

Democrats, stop treating the Republican party as a normal American political party. It's turned into an unamerican, anti-American clown show.

Brenden Buck, Former Advisor to John Boehner and Paul Ryan made an interesting point. The Republicans are not suited for the responsibilities required of the majority role. They're ideologically divided and not capable of consolidating coalitions.

Suited for confrontation and dispute and not for governing, the torch should be passed to the Democrats for the management of House business. Committee membership would be negotiated.

Chaos will never be an acceptable recipe.
