Major City Eyed as Ground Zero for Trump’s Mass Deportations

What if only the father or the mother is deported? Or one of the grandparents?

What if the children are dreamers and they want them to stay?

I'm only saying that it will be ugly. How could something of this scale go smoothly?
Anyone here legally will have the option of staying. If they want to remain with that family member they’d need to relocate to wherever that person is being sent.

It’s their call, nobody will force them to go. But the illegal doesn’t get to stay because they have family here legally, that’s just dumb.

Fair enough, and my apologies if I came off in an offensive way.

I believe the code you're citing is specific to individuals, or a "person." It doesn't apply the same way to local jurisdictions or states. That's why sanctuary cities and states exist without impunity.

Sigh. It's hard to argue with magats like scuzzy who have no comprehension for the Constitution. The 14 amendment is pretty clear to reasonable folks.

They are vermin.

Sending them back in huge numbers via railcars is not only cost effective but much more humane than how many traveled to get here.

My tax money shouldn't be paying airfare for these rats.
 
I'm kind of an anomaly in that I'm a white, American male that has actually worked illegally abroad for a while (due to my inability to renew my work visa). So I kind of know what it's like to be on the other side of the fence.

First of all, as a former 'rat', I didn't have time to rape women or steal hubcaps because I was too busy working 60 hours/6 days a week running two sports bars while trying to maintain a low profile. I assume a whopping majority of illegal immigrants in the US are in the same boat.

Once I realized I could not get my visa renewed, I made the decision to self-deport to another country that offered a visa. Simple as that. I'm assuming, once these deportations begin, that a lot of people will simply self-deport, especially the ones that have overstayed their visas. These people seem to be usually forgotten as Americans tend to focus on the border crossers.

But as mentioned earlier.....it's going to be a gong show.
