If they had emotional stressors which ultimately led to their tragic decisions then perhaps they weren’t suited for the additional stress levels that urban law enforcement officers face in today’s world.

These guys weren’t exactly rookies. Had it not been for 1/6, there’s very good chances imo that they probably retire after long careers.
Everyone has their breaking point. I disagree vehemently that this somehow means they were not suited for law enforcement. This was a once in a lifetime occurrence.
I appreciate the manner in which you expressed your viewpoint which is different than mine - and done without name calling.
Again I believe (am of the opinion) there are stressors in Law enforcement today that are absolutely challenging in ways that prove difficult to some who are more vulnerable than others in certain situations.
Does that mean I think they weren’t good people who made a tragically wrong decision no matter what the situation was?
It was just a very sad thing.
I agree completely that law enforcement has its own set of stressors - many of which are really hard to prepare for or anticipate sometimes. And then human beings are just weird - someone could go their entire careers and be totally fine…until they run into a particular scenario, or just one time too many.
It was an insurrection. They were attempting to overturn the presidential election.
That you would call it a protest really says a lot about you.

I sometimes need to remind myself that she was a Republican in college. She too often shows streaks of that heritage.
Until northern had brought her up, I hadn’t thought of her in 4 or 5 years, totally irrelevant to me now. Saying that today she’s still not accepting that she lost means nothing to me.
Heck, if it were me, I’d have issues with realizing I’d lost to Donald freaking Trump too.
