Mark Perry..

"The only thing you deserve is what you earn." That's all I have to say about the IMar vs Nolf match, IMar earned that victory and Nolf earned his loss...just like the last time they wrestled

Lol. Hate? I think it's hilarious.

You're the one on an Iowa board calling Imar's win illegitimate, and you say I'm full of hate? Classic. Keep up the good work.
I'm calling it illegitimate on the Lehigh and Cornell boards too, so what? You're the one celebrating the Illinois program, rather than your own.

Nolf "earned" that loss, by having a bad restart and not being ready for a whistle, during the second overtime, of a match that was stopped 7 times, 3 of which came for no reason at all, by the Illinois coach, in a marathon that was completely stripped of it's legitimacy, against a wrestler who twice grabbed ankles, had to be told to come to the center of the mat to wrestle, two times, and underhooked all day long.

This won't happen again. If Imar wins in New York, he will be certainly have to "earn" it also. Cael will be talking to the crew before the match and Perry will be on notice in two weeks.

Was that before or after Perry's 4th timeout to challenge invisible calls?

You do understand that you are complaining about blows vs the match should have been over earlier, right? Who do you think has more of a complaint in this, IMar or Nolf? I get being frustrated about Perry's subterfuge on the stalling thing in the 2nd but IMar wrestled a great match with a solid game plan. He stuck to Nolf like glue and didn't give him as much space to work from in the first match. Over on your board, I predicted that IMar wouldn't beat Nolf because Nolf was just plain better...Sometimes you just have to doff your cap. What you are doing is seriously bad form...great match between two great opponents.

BTW, IMar was hustling all the way until the end...when he got the escape in the last OT, he immediately tried to attack Nolf and Nolf had to scooch out of bounds. Not the actions of a guy who needed blows.

Great match, indeed! Just earlier today, we were talking about how Nolf had a great chance to match Cael's undefeated record. I really figured he'd major IMar. What a gutty performance by IMar, though. After he struggled to beat Murphy in the semis, I'm sure many fans were thinking he'd really struggle with Nolf. Wrestled a very smart match this time. It was almost as if the dual meet match was a test run, to see what he could get away with in terms of throws, etc. To get an idea of how he might be able to horse Nolf around. He wore himself out in the process and paid the price. Much smarter match this time around -- conserved his energy, picked his shots, and put his athleticism to use against a very tough, but not as quick and explosive, Nolf.

Nolf is really fun to watch, but hats off to IMar for coming back from his only collegiate loss and beating a phenom! Needless to say, matches like this are GREAT for the sport. People will absolutely show up to watch that kind of action.

For Perry to wave the flag and then announce he just wanted to argue, but not protest was pretty cheap. As for replay, watch Nickal reach inside of Brunson's ear cover and pull him to the mat. It would have been a huge swing in points if the refs had half the view I had from my seat in Montana. Did change the outcome? Probably not, but it was a blatant muff by the refs. I thought it interesting that in Bo's post match interview, he loved how he put on a show for the Hawk fans and how great it was that they cheered for him.

Bo's just as fun to watch as Taylor was, but I don't care for either when we match up head to head with them.

but Perry took the legitimacy out of the whole thing with his bullshit. In my mind, nobody won, and because of Perry, the sport took a hit today.

I admit to being confused as to why Imar did not get that reviewed takedown. would love to hear what the officials read into their decision. I question the non-caution on Imar's escape. Admit I thought the timeouts were bogus but what I thought hurt Nolf was allowing Imar to control his head.

Over all I enjoyed the first bout more, not because Nolf won, but because they both pretty much let it fly. Certainly look forward to seeing them in the finals and NOT THE SEMIS!!.

They need to change the rules on time outs and I think they will in time. No more than 2 min. or 1 min. to make a decision, right or wrong. People are going to bitch no mater what anyway, so get on with the wrestling. And they should have the power to tell a coach he's not the ref. and keep the match going....

Taking away that 2 pts from Imar's TD at the edge of mat was a collosal screw job against Imar and a break for Nolf.

Imar was the rightful winner. Heart of a lion.

That said, Nolf is a superstar. These two should be seeded #1 & 2 in NY.
