I forgot about the overseas trip. That's huge for the new guys. That is a lot of extra practices ahead of the season.

Nunge, Garza & Connor will benefit greatly from this trip. As will the others. Having all of these guys together will be very competitive. The practice scrimmages will be about as fun to watch as some of the games. Moreso really.

I am very interested to see what Dailey can bring to the table. We NEED more guards. His position is where Jok is, Wish he would have listened to coach and redshirted. But it is what it is... Maishe is long, athletic, has a decent shot, moves well with the ball and looks to have good vision for passing. He seems quick enough that his defense could be good as well...

With Jok's 30+ minutes to be replaced. There will be time available for someone. It would be great if that someone shines, and rises above the rest.

Fran's been getting a lot of crtitisim on here of late but no one has mention his part in Saturday's victory. His use of multiple defenses to contain much of the dribble drive penetration that hurt us in the first game was huge. Especially his timely switching from the 2-3 zone back to man to man and then throwing in the 1-3-1 zone trap. Couple that with how many times maryland had less than 20 seconds to run their offense after getting the ball across half court and it was well designed and well executed.

Uhl just has an ugly stroke with a low release point. The better question is how does he ever make a 3 point shot? I think last year was simply an aberration. Plus, he is being guarded out to the 3 now.

I agree with this. Also, if my memory is correct, didn't he make at least a couple of threes last year off the board? Seemed to be several very lucky shots back then.

That is true. Freshman can go now. It is used as a recruiting tool as well. Teams can only go once every 4 years.

Fran went to England for Gabe. He is going to Germany for Dom. That is pretty frickin cool.

Not sure if you have to be on scholarship or not tho? We could have like 16 guys going. If we count Connor, Jones & Till, and nobody leaves the team.

Hopefully he understands that he shouldn't be looking to shoot many mid range shots. Yesterday's game was a very efficient offensive attack, lots of shots at the rim, lots of 3's and little else.

This can't be understated. If a player is thinking of taking a 15 footer, they should rethink and look for the 3 instead. I don't know how to do the analysis for yesterday's game, but it had to be one of the most efficient offensive games we've played this season in conference.
