Maryland making Illinois their beotch

Fire Underwood...

Well the transitive property says if Underwood needs to be fired, Fran needs to give a salary claw back to Iowa and be fired retroactive to the Richmond loss.

I will say all the 3pt shots Illini Put down vs Iowa were a combination of some luck and the fact they weren't guarded. The ease with which they rebounded vs Iowa was because Iowa put out Boys vs Men. Maryland has probably the most athletic/skilled starting 5 in B1G.

We saw the entire timeline of Fran’s Iowa career in one game last night…wide open offense, no defense, Fran gets t’d up and thrown out of the game, Iowa loses the game by giving up over 100 points by not being able to defend or rebound.

And some Iowa fans want play it back next season…..

Fran for the memories. Some good jokes on this thread and seeing the Illini get pounded is very, very funny. I just hope they don't come back.

This happens a lot to Iowa opponents actually, it's like stomping us puts a curse on you. Seems like there might be a betting angle to this. Illinois got 30 free throws against us from that midget ref who hates us, some horrible 3 point shooter hit a bunch of nba threes on us, and every time they missed it either fell right in their lap or Dembele tipped it to the other team. None of those things were going to continue vs Maryland.

Are you really suggesting the loss to Illinois last night was due to luck and poor officiating?

Not coaching, lack of any resemblance of defense and rebounding, inside toughness and fundamentals?

That game summed up Frans tenure in a nutshell. Stop playing the victim (if that's what you were implying and not being sarcastic)

NO curse, it is all just science/psychologically based.

Stomping Iowa makes teams develop bad habits and think they are better than they really are. The points and rebounds come too easy.

I will say a lot of the Hawks tried hard, but were just lacking toughness or length or strength or quick twitch muscles and of course having multiple defensive weak winks playing at same time means trying to cover each other's mistakes is a clown show.

Connor Mc. tweeted some clown emojis I think--maybe it was aboutThe Iowa defense in recognition of Iowa's game vs Illini.

Oh sure our defense is abysmal, but going from 106 to 62 is not entirely explicable from that. Illinois should've scored about 85 on us. The things I mentioned took them to 106 on that given night.

In the last 4 years Illinois has won a Big Ten regular season title, two Big Ten Tournament titles and had an NCAA Elite Eight appearance.

I'd like to "not accomplish much" like that.
I didn’t say he accomplished nothing. It just seems his teams end up not achieving what their record indicates.

your right. I didn’t realize that they had been that good. I guess I just thought they were losing in March madness earlier than their ranking. But they have been doing well the past several years.
