I’d love to see the NIL spend at Oakland Vs Kentucky.
My wife who isn't fan of Fran or much of B-ball fan is laughing because ISU is in the NCAA tourney and Iowa isn't. She made me go to the 2nd TV in house the other day because Iowa was in NIT, not NCAA tourney.
I do thank Fran for getting rid of Cully Payne as one of his first moves at Iowa. I think those calling Fran the guy that saved Iowa basketball after LIckliter are overstating the degree of difficulty. Turn arounds in B-ball are quick becuse you only need 5 players. Fran inherited two future All-B1G players in Gatens and Devyn Marble when he started at Iowa, roster wasn't barren.

Perhaps you should e-mail Beth Goetz and tell her of your marital issues. Might prompt her to make a change.
Fran is naked out there with Catlin filling Carver and Clones excelling. No excuses left after 14 years.

That might be enough to get him fired this off season. The old ways of Elite Charismatic coaches being able pull in a new roster of 1 and dones every year and just reload appear to be done. NIL is allowing some other teams to get the 5 star talent and Portal is allowing other teams to stock up on upperclassmen with talent.
You know when Calipari had to resort to stealing Fredrick from Iowa that things had changed.
I made the mistake of picking Kentucky in past couple years....this year I gave up on chokers like Kentucky and Arizona.

Agreed, the team full of 1 and dones doesn't work and hasn't for a while.
Calipari alone is probably makine $8 to $10 million/year and Oakland coach is around $300K would be my guess.
I'm not sure that Kentucky is much of an NIL powerhouse but yeah, probably more NIL than Iowa has.

I don't think Kentucky has a Billionaire sponsor like Oregon has in Phil Knight but they do have a name brand in B-ball.
Anyway we aren't kentucky. I just want Fran not to lose a starter or two to the Portal this spring and somehow we have enough NIL to get everyone including perkns to return.
