I had a good friend whose father died in a diving accident. Body never recovered. 17 years later, he was found, damn near perfectly preserved in a dry suit in frigid water. When I talked to my buddy, whom I’ve known since knee-high, I expressed that I hoped they got some closure—he told me they closed this loop when he died and wished they’d left him down there where he belonged.Just spitballing, but to recover the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder. Unless and until it's proven that the plane crash was a deliberate act by the flight crew, investigators should proceed under the assumption that some flaw, probably in one of the electronic flight systems, caused the crash, and that possibility needs to be investigated to ensure it doesn't happen again. Particularly if they recover the CVR, that will hopefully clear up whether the flight turned into some sort of hostage-taking situation.
Not to mention it may be important to recover as many human remains as possible from the wreckage - if only for the sake of closure for the victims' families but I would imagine it would help resolve any ongoing litigation about the crash.
I want closure on what happened mechanically, software, or human craziness.I had a good friend whose father died in a diving accident. Re: proof. I’m not sure what more is needed here unless you’re a total conspiracy theorist that believes Boeing took it down with DoD, and if that happened, nobody is proving it. The pilot did it.
Only businesses I can think of that would get hype from this, are Garuda Indonesia or Cathay Pacific.Alex Jones said the flight never existed and it was an elaborate ruse to hype up a business based on the shows Lost and Fantasy Island.
I know I'm old when this event feels like it was just a couple years ago. A decade ago? Impossible.
Cathay Pacific is from Hong Kong. Garuda is Indonesian. What's the relationship to Malaysia? Same routes?Only businesses I can think of that would get hype from this, are Garuda Indonesia or Cathay Pacific.
