And we need IL to beat OH St. tomorrow unfortunately. I just hate saying that since I hate IL more than any other BIG team--by a long shot.
MI will be without Diabate who turned into Lebrun James against Iowa.

This RU@UM game is a win-win for Iowa, imo.
If Michigan wins, it brings Rutgers back a bit further into the pack and leaves them open for Iowa jumping them in the standings/BTT seeding - as long as Iowa finishes strong.
If Rutgers wins, it creates (more) separation between Iowa and Michigan. And lets face it, UM kinda deserves a shot of Karma from the fiasco of the @UW postgame - which would happen if they lose tonight. Also, a win tonight by Rutgers keeps solidifying their NCAA Tourney bid 'resume'.

I want Michigan to finish as a 6 seed so that they face Wisconsin (who should be the 3) in the quarterfinals.

Agreed, but I would like to see a tight physically/emotionally draining triple over time game that wears both teams down. No blowout where starters get some rest.

This game could mean quite a bit.
A Michigan win tonight + an Illinois win tomorrow night vs OSU + a Hawkeye win in Lincoln on Friday night would put the standings at; 4th OSU 10-6, 5th RU 10-7 and 6th Iowa 10-7.

Other than vs Nebraska for OSU and vs Penn St for Rutgers, there is not a "mark it down" win on either remaining schedule.
Iowa keeps playing the way they have for 5 of the last 6 games, they can finish 3-1 & 12-8 overall.
All it takes is a couple more bobbles after losing @ ILL tomorrow night for OSU, Rutgers hitting a roadbump and drops each of next 3 (including tonight), & Iowa finishing 12-8 - then the final standings would be;
4 Iowa 12-8 [owns tiebreaker vs OSU]
5 OSU 12-8
6 RU 11-9
the acting head coach was always a good HC back in the day, imo.

we played poorly vs Michigan
We were up 2 at the half and got outscored by 7 in the 2nd half
11 turnovers
we shot 4-18 (22%) from 3
we got outrebounded 40-37
I will immediately need brain bleach afterwards, but if rooting for Minny means them beating Wisky, I'll sacrifice myself for it.
Not to mention Keegan uncharacteristically missing 2 dunks - to go along with his cramping problems - and 3 dunks missed overall. Multiple missed FTs by KeM and the whole team.
Iowa did play 'poorly', compared to other 5 games in last stretch, vs Michigan.
I kept a bet and bought some Minnesota socks to wear after they gifted Iowa the big ten west title. I wore them once and threw them away.
notice how close fans are to the court at Virginia; this makes for a much more intimidating environment
