They have to wear their practice stuff since everything on the plane needs to stay on the plane due to the investigation.

Doesn't seem to be hindering them. Their aim seems to be on the mark and Illinois is looking like garbage

Sounding like plane took off and came back down and aborted. I would assume with the insane winds they hit windshear causing loss of lift and the sink. I then would assume they decided to abort at way too high rate of a speed, thus not stopping in time. Windshear is that not uncommon, especially in summer. Key is to stay configured and keep the airplane going forward and flying. We are trained from day 1 that after our decision speed to take it airborne regardless, because of not having room to stop. I'm not going to armchair it, just my 2 cents.

yep. the take off was aborted, they skidded, went thru a fence, crossed a road, and landed in a ravine

A complete blowout by Michigan would be very nice. Completely remove Ill from the bubble discussion with two significant losses to end the season. I am worried that when both Iowa and ILL are on the same discussion level we lose out due to head to head. Iowa has to take care of its position against Indiana but nice to remove one more would be nice

Groce is gonna get canned if this continues.

At a microbrew in Louisville and apparently next to John Beelines (sp?) cousin. Funny timing. She was freaking yesterday.

They may want to think about wearing these practice clothes all the time.

Yep. Part of NTSB investigation to determine whether the plane loading/weighting was done improperly and contributed to the accident. Sucks they have to leave all their equipment and uniforms on there until that assessment is done, but if load balancing was off, you need the stuff in place to help evaluate that.

Shelby Mast says Illinois, Kstate, RI loss to Dayton, and Cal loss means Iowa wouldn't even have to win tonight to be in.. he does USA Today bracketology

What kind of aircraft?

"Skidded off the runway" doesn't sound so bad, but depending on what kind of terrain the plane travels over and whether the fuel tanks rupture, it could be really serious. There have been fatalities from such incidents.
