Might be time for a change

Michigan and tOSU and even Minny will have better teams next year. Other than Retherford and Nickal, I don't think the rest of the PSU champs are a lock. I will be interesting to see if IMar stays at 165 or goes back down.

I don't know that, crazy stuff happens in the room with development in off or redshirt years. I choose to be optimistic about it.

One thing I liked was hearing was how the 1 on 1 with Tom, changed Clark's perspective. Gable had that ability better then anyone, I am thinking that Tom / Terry may have a bit of that in them too. Different people need to be told different things and handle things different. They said the right things to him and he went back to the hard rider to grit out wins like he did his freshman year because it was better for his body. So when people like me didn't understand why Clark wasn't cutting people and going for the major in some matches. The plan was to work on his top game, turn and preserve the health he had.

Brands isn't coaching a specific style that the Caels and Toms aren't. He's just been recruiting a style that has been limited. He didn't change Clark or Kemerer did he? Sit back and enjoy the show after next year. Just have to get through next year. The recruits coming in, and the semi resurgence in Iowa HS wrestling is real. Enjoy the mini dynasty PSU. Black and Gold have figured it out.
Mini dynasty? Really? That light at the end of the Penn State tunnel
that you see, 2,3,4 years out is a state of the art high speed train that is not slowing down. As long as Cael is there, just like when Gable was rolling at Iowa, you are NOT going to beat him. They may not win every year, but as long as Cael is there the "mini dynasty" will continue.

Nolf, Hall and Joseph aren't going anywhere. They are two freshmen and a sophomore. Add in Suriano a freshman, Nevills a sophomore and Cortez a sophomore, Matt McCutcheon a junior, and throw in Nick Lee a soon to be true freshman that will be at 141 and they might just be the best team ever..... I just threw up in my mouth!!!

You forgot Nickal as well...

Suriano will be SO, Cortez JR, McCutcheon SR, and Nevills a JR. But that just makes the puke a little less rancid, doesn't solve the problem

Minnesota is graduating Pfarr and Kroells. Not sure they'll have a better tournament team next year.

Is Dresser trolling this thread to try and get recruits to ISU?

Seriously WTF is wrong with some of you? The Brands brothers want to win in the worst way and they are trying to fix the problems. PSU is the old Iowa that people used to hate and still do, we just need to figure out the recipe to get back on top.

P.S. Yeah I guess we should have fired Gable after he failed to win 10 in a row and then lost the next 3 years as well. Man he sucked
